Any must do's? Must eats?

I really want to visit some of the public markets but besides that I don't know what to do/see! My parents are helping my sister move in and i will have tons of free time!

Any idea where your sister will be living? That could affect your choices a fair bit. There is a market on Atwater and another large one on Jean Talon. Old Montreal is always a popular choice as is the Old Port area.

Have Fun
John

she's living close to the mcgill campus. around avenue de pines.

Hope you have a great trip. Sorry I couldn't get back to you last night, I had about 60 phone calls to make for rep. hockey team tryouts set to start next week. If you haven't left yet, why don't you catch the Metro to PIE IX (pronounced PEE NEUF. green line if I remember correctly)metro stop and watch the Expos beat the Phillies yet again and watch Larry Bowa's head come close to exploding in frustration.

I miss Montreal food! (I am from Montreal).

* Smoked meat
* St. Hubert BBQ chicken (don't you dare pronouce the H)
* All dressed steamed hot dogs with greasy french fries
* Any pastries
* Meat pies
* Spruce Beer (it's a soft drink not beer)
* Elmer's Diary Ice Cream
* Lucky's Chinese

Must see:

* Shrine
* Mount Royal
* LaRonde

living in NY now, and miss Montreal food also !!!

Oh for a thick smoked meat sandwich with greasy fries, and pass the vinegar please.

Old Montreal is always a popular choice as is the Old Port area.

I second that one.

Sugar Pie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Go shopping on St. Catharines, there are a ton of stores there! You should also check out Old Montreal or go to the casino (if you like casinos). I can't think of the names of any restaurants that I've been to in Old Montreal ... but if you like deli food, check out Rueben Schwartz and Cora's is also good for breakfast/brunch :)
