Well, I'm officially Disney crazy since today I booked a weekend trip for myself for Oct. 22-24th to get some alone time, get to see WDW the way that I want to and get to go to the F&W festival and realized that I could also do MNSSHP on the 23rd. Anyone ever done this alone? Were you comfortable trick or treating? Did you dress up? I would love any and all info since this is my first solo trip anywhere. I am very excited about this idea since I really love  Halloween and would trick or treat back at home if it was socially acceptable and I'm 33. :flower:

I'll let you know - I'll be going to MNSSHP for the first time on Sunday and I'll be going solo and I'll be dressing up, too! pirate: Will report back on my experiences if I remember. If I don't just be on the look out for my trip report.

I'm going to MNNSHP twice this year--solo! It is a good time!! I don't dress up, but I do trick-or-treat! (Where else can an "old bat" do that?!?) :smooth: :maleficen

I will be at MNSSHP on Oct. 20th and 23rd (so twice for me this year also - Last year I attended FOUR times!) and will probably be in costume both nights. :cool1:

Thanks for all of the helpful input. I think that I am definitely going to go for it :) See you all there

Hi there!

Dressing up is fun at the party---there are LOTS of people dressed!
Make sure what you pick is COMFY....it was HOT in 2003 and you want to be able to get on and off rides easily....

Have a Blast!!!!

I had a blast at MNSSHP last year when I took a trip without my husband. I did not dress up but I did buy one of the black shirts with the silver glitter Magic Kingdom design to wear. The lines were long for trick-or-treating so I walked around and enjoyed the atmosphere of the party. After about 10pm most of the kids were gone. I hit all of the candy spots (which still had barrels of candy) and got my free face painting. I was able to take pictures with the characters with my new "costume." The CMs are great about taking pictures for you.
I wish I could do it again this year.

If you are there on the 23rd, you may see some of us "adults" trick-or-treating without children but carrying our Pal Mickeys (who will be in costume and carrying their own t-or-t bags). You are welcome to join us and "act like a kid again."

Some of us may go our separate ways, but I and at least one or two others plan to meet at the bridge entrance to Adventureland at 7:15 p.m. on the 23rd.

P.S. - I look like my pic below except that yesterday I got my hair cut to a medium length.

Thank you for the wonderful offer. I will definately keep that in mind and see how things go. :flower:
