Sorry if this is the wrong thread. I have done on-line check in but haven't gotten my email yet on if I have to go to the front desk or not. MK opens at 8am our first day so we plan to go straight there at 8am before we go to the hotel around 3pm. Our magic-bands should work for MK parking, dining plan, tickets and all that good stuff even if our room hasn't been assigned yet and we are not checked in correct? Thanks!!

I have had trouble with getting into the park for EMH and charging to my Magicband if I go straight to the park before check in. Never do the dining plan, so I don't know about that. We usually make a brief stop at the hotel to check in and then use the transportation from there to get to the park.

You should be okay. I have gone to the parks several times before my room was ready and checking in. The times I have, I got to my resort around noon. I would just park the car, leaving my suitcases in the car, and head over to the the park on the Disney bus. Then when I get back at night I have already received the room ready text message and just walk directly over and into my room. No problems at all.

Yup, you should have no issues. We've done this many times.

You can check in when you arrive. You may not get the keys to your room but they will text you when it's ready. Feel free to start your vacation.

We do this every time, because we like to rope drop. We have never had an issue and throughout the day we get a text with our room number. We usually only have to hit up the front desk if we have questions.

Just one additional comment to add to the great advice already offered. Should you have any issues when you get to the park with ticket entitlements or Dining plan, Guest Services at the park can resolve any issues right there. There is no need to go to your hotel until you are ready to hit your room.
