Going to HHN on 10/4!!

I noticed that it specifies that after the tour you can use RIP for express on the regular attractions only. Last year I actually asked at three of the houses and two out of three let me use it for the house too...at that point, we ran out of time because it was closing time. For the price of RIP, I think that would be a nice official perk.

I'm so excited!! I booked my RIP Tour for HHN. Going on 10/4 @ 7pm. With the APH discount it is $135 plus tax per person. You have a choice of 7pm, 8pm or 9pm for the 4 hour tour.

Non-Private RIP Tour
The main focus of this tour is the Halloween Horror Nights venues which include the 8 haunted houses and The Bill and Ted Show. Access into the regular park attractions is not guaranteed, however, you may use your RIP credentials after the tour for Express access into the regular attractions only.

Hey I will be there that night with 2 of my friends and we were thinking of doing the tour as well. Maybe we will see you there :thumbsup2

thanks so much. i emailed them and they got back to me so quick with the information and request form. Now i have a question,(trying to figure out our budget, which i have already strayed so far from) we will be doing HHN on Oct 4 and Oct 5. Was planning on getting EP on of the nights (probably sunday). Last year was our first HHN and we when on a sunday and didnt get to do all the houses (it was columbus day weekend) if we are planning on doing 2 nights and getting an EP one night would you say we should still do the RIP or will we (should we) be able to get through all the houses.

it would be 300 for the 2 of us to do the tour plus the cost of the stay and scream pass, just trying to justify the cost to myself.

this will be our last HHN until 2010 (20th anniversary) only because i am already catching slack from my daughters school about pulling her out and they havent even started back yet (she goes to a prep school and this will be her freshman year).

thanks for all the help. you guys rock

If you have an Express pass for a Sunday, you should be able to hit all of the houses without too much trouble. However...If you decide to do S & S, you will definately get through all the houses.

Thanks so much, that is a big savings for me. we were so disappointed last year when we only got to do jason, freddy and dead silence. we were unaware of the express pass for HHN. you would think since we bought our stay and screams at the HRH they would have told us, but they also didnt tell us we could stay in the park at closing and not have to leave the park and get into that huge line at the gates, so i think that head start will help also and it not being columbus day weekend will be a plus. we decided to do both days this year just to make sure we get to all the houses and my daughter is so bummed that we missed bill and teds last year that we have that as a must do for this year.

is there a certain path we should take, we started at jason last year but by the time we got in it was around 7:30ish. didnt know if we should head straight to the back and work our way forward or does it really matter when there are only 8 houses. also with S&S do they tell you what house you can enter early or are all of them opened when they "release" you from the holding areas.

i know i am a pain, but you guys are the experts and are making me so happy.

based on past years, there should be 3 houses open for the s & s guests.
meaning you will be able to do 3 houses before the general public gets in.
at that point, head for the other houses to go throw.

the main crowd will be behind you at 6:30.

do buy the epp.
after spending all the money for going to hhn, might as well go for broke and buy the epp.

use the epp when the lines start to have a 20 minute wait.

the first 3 houses you did when you left the s & s area were probably done in the light.
do those as repeats with your epp later in the evening.
you will have a different effect in them then.

there are two teams for each house. they alternate wih 45 minutes on and then 30 minutes off. the cycle repeats itself then.

you have Team A and Team B.
i try to time it so i can see each team in action.

some times it is the scareactor that makes the house thrilling for you.

if you start with stay and scream and have the epp, you will be able to do the entire park on a non peak night with doing some repeat houses.
the epp is valid for the first showing of bill and teds show only.

it doesn't state that on the epp, but it will be indicated on the signs in the park that epp valid for first show (7ish) only.

usually a week or more out from the start date of hhn, we will hear which houses will have what theme and character with them.

normally a certain website will give out info on which houses will be the hot ones for the season.

after the first weekend, many will post their impressions of the houses and you will benefit from that information.
i remember i corresponded with you last year for hhn but never did hear back from you.
i didn't know you got the short end of the stick on information.
sorry that happened to you.

i guess sometimes i forget how overwhelming it is to receive so much new information on hhn if you have never experienced it.
there is so much to learn about it.

do the stay and scream,. if you have not bought your hhn tickets yet, buy the ADD ON ticket as it is the cheapest one for hhn.

Thanks macraven you are the best.

should i buy my S&S now or when i check into the hotel (we are staying at RPR) dont know if you get an addl discount from the hotel or not.

also is this weekend going to be as busy as columbus day weekend? i know by giving us an extra day to do HHN we should cover all 8, see both teams and be able to do our favs again.

last year things were so hetic in the days before we left that if the info was given to me i probably never retained it --- we have friends that live in orlando and they attend HHN every year and said not to plan to much because they will take care of it -- great group 3 houses and we were only able to go one night because they wanted to met on sunday and we thought they had a game plan (also never thought in a million years that there would be that many people there). this year i havent even let them know we are coming down, better to do this ourselves then sit around for a whole another year being bummed that we missed most of the houses.

i think i will be properly prepared thanks to all of your help. if i think of anything else i will be sure to ask if you dont mind.

if you have a day ticket to the park, you can buy the ADD ON, which would be the stay and scream ticket.
it is cheap.

you can add that ticket while at the park on that day. you will get the cheapest rate for the add on price.

you can buy tickets at the hotel thru the concierge inthe lobby, but buy it in the park instead. the hotel does not have any additional discounts for it.
and, if they run out of tickets, you would have to wait until they got more from the park.

tickets like ADD ON or stay and scream just means you bought your hhn ticket cheaper. nothing more than that.

everyone has to have a hhn ticket to be at the event.

and anyone that does not leave the park at 5 when it closes are entitled to go to the holding area, stay and scream area, at 5 to wait for the all clear from security. when that happens, you are able to start doing the houses before the general public gets in.

i have gone on the second weekend before and the crowds are not bad.
you will get all the houses done if you have the ex pass and start with the stay and scream area.

i am going the columbus day weekend again. i do the th-su, 4 nights in a row then.

1 night is never enough.
4 is perfect for me.
