Going to DLR with non-planners

Oh no! No more rope drops for you? That's too bad. Well, at least you get to go fairly often, even if it's not first thing in the morning.

I would love to go this sunday but not sure if DH is up for it. He likes going but he's not nearly as enthusiastic as I am about trekking over there.

Labor Day weekend? Lol. Yeah, no... I don't think so.

OMG - FYI - I'll never ever see a rope drop at DL.... I totally had to give up morning visits to the park when I took my current position - I'm on call up in the valley every Saturday and Sunday morning. I can't see mornings at Disneyland unless I officially request coverage... so basically I work 7 days a week.

I honestly can't remember the last time I was in the park that early. Whenever we are there early it's staying the weekend for the Half Marathon - and then we are up at the crack of eternity to cheer runners and the opening the doors at 7am at Storytellers for breakfast.

I am there this weekend - we're taping a show segment at the DLH version of Bwana Bob's Jungle Boats tomorrow afternoon around 3ish. We're staying the night (asked off a month ago....), so we're there Sunday, too.

I think you may want to consider being around or getting rooms the weekend of Labor Day.... it's our big Podcast EVENT Weekend!!!!!

If it was my b-day I would be there too, even if it was Labor Day weekend. Actually, we have Deluxe APs so I'm guessing Labor Day weekend is blocked out anyway. Well, maybe Sunday isn't, i don't know, I haven't looked.

My birthday is the 6th of September - how funny is that.

The podcast crew from Orlando will be out and many of us will be walking or running in the 5K on Saturday and we are raising money for Give Kids the World. The Disney Divas from the DL Board are also having a walking team.

Correspondent Dave Parfitt will be running the Half, along with many of the folks on WISH board and several listeners. It will be a DIS event weekend, so assume there will be a few meets lots of pictures and I think Pete is wanting to have us record a show during the marathon.

Lots of fun will be happening that weekend!!!!

My best friend and her husband ran the 1/2 marathon last year and thought the crowds weren't bad..I do think that weekend is blocked for most AP..I was looking into AP's but didn't want to spring for the highest level and noticed the lower level(s?) were blocked. We get in on Sunday and leave Wednesday night so maybe we will have a bit of slower time..and since there is so much stuff in the lounge I can just eat the whole busy time

We've been there for the Half for the last 2 years and can verify the crowds weren't bad at all. It is a block-out for all APs but Premium, so that helps. With the new payment plan to buy APs, though, it's a crapshoot as to how many more PAP holders there will be now. I have to come visit you in the lounge! We've currently got a room using DVC points.

You should register and walk the 5K with us - you get a medal for it!
