Well for a day trip anyway. We're going to Paris for our 10 year anniversary and we've decided to add on a day so I can see DLP without missing out on any Paris sites I wanted to see.

We'll be in Paris May 30-June 8, I've picked Thursday June 6 for DLP. How will this day be for crowds? Is it worth it to book a TS meal, can't decide if I want to spend park time eating, unless there's a great restaurant.

Hi,

I've just checked the British and French school holidays for you and luckily they don't fall in the week you will be in Paris.

For a week day, you should be fine for crowds now you know the kids are at school.

I personally wouldn't bother picking a sit down restaurant meal if you only have a day. Unless you really care about having a character meal?

Again, if you do decide on the day, being a week day I am sure you wouldn't have any problems getting in anywhere.

Happy planning for your whole trip :)

Thanks! That was really nice of you to check that for me :goodvibes.

I've been searching the Internet but its hard to find crowd info on DLP!

No worries at all, I know how hard it can be to find info on the net about DLP!

It can be crazy when it is school holidays, or the weekend there, just like in the US parks really.

On a weekday when it is quiet you will find yourself able to run on and off most rides or queue for no more then 20 minutes I would say. They also operate the fastpass system on a lot of rides.

I've added my Flickr link below for our photos from our trip to both Paris and DLP in March, we had rainy weather in Paris which ruined some of our photos but then the most lovely weather in DLP :)

Hi Tink, just wondering where you found the crowd info? I'm planning a trip for the very end of January/beginning of February (Jan 30 or 31-Feb 4 or so). I realize we'll be there over a weekend so if crowd levels are anything like I'm used to at DL or WDW, they'll be a bit higher but I haven't found out anything about school breaks at that time of year. Fingers crossed it's past any Christmas holidays and before any spring breaks!

We were there in Jan last year, it was a weekday trip though and the parks were empty, it was a case of walk on walk off.

i can't say for sure how the parks are at the weekend but i would doubt they would be that busy, but still busier then the weekdays.

Be prepared for ride closures too as that is when most of the maintenance is done.

Hi :)

There's no real crowd info unfortunately as there is for the US parks. The main thing to look for is the British/European school holidays - there will be none at the time you are going as it is so soon after Christmas and New Years.

As the OP said that time of year is also when you will find some ride closures due to maintenance.

The below website link only has closure information up until December this year so if you keep an eye on it, you should hopefully see January/Febuary's info soon - I hope there is not too much closed for you :)

That website is also a great source for DLP info anyway, it has menu's, event calendars etc.

Enjoy :)

Loved your pictures Tink! The first set was Versailles right? That's on my itinerary too!

Thank you :)

Yes it was, such a stunning, beautiful place to visit! The gardens and lake are just as amazing as the house, you will really enjoy it!

I just wish it was more sunny when we were in Paris, it's just an excuse to go back though ;)

Hi,

I just use this website normally

http://www.halftermdates.co.uk/

As you say, it's sometimes different across the UK and you can check the difference on this website across the regions.

Then I just google French, German, Spanish school holidays.

For example, I just googled German school holidays 2013 and this super helpful website came up as the first link:

http://www.holidays-info.com/School-Holidays-Germany/2013/school-holidays_2013.html

Don't worry too much about going in the school holidays, you will still have a great trip! You just need to have a bit more of a plan and use the Fastpass system to your benefit. I understand some parents are obviously governed by the school holidays and can only go then :)
