We are taking our kids to DL for their 3rd birthday and plan to go in May. I have never stayed at a hotel as I always lived in LA and was an AP holder. We want to stay in a suite as one room with all of us means we go to bed at 8pm :(
So my questions are:
Do we get the onsite benefits by staying at a good neighbor hotel? even if we don't book through disney?
Any recommendations as to which are closest? We won't be walking but don't want to travel too far.

Thanks for your help
Christine

If you stay at a good neighbor hotel and book a package with 3+ day parkhoppers, you will get an early one day. By staying at a DLR hotel, you would be able to get early entry each day it is offered... I have only stayed in a suite once and that was at the LaQuinta. My sister and I each had a queen bed and the kids shared a sofa bed and had their own TV and I believe french doors separated the room. It was nice and clean. The parking was a little rough since I have a big SUV, but we were able to find a space each day.
I am sure that others could recommend other hotels within walking distance :goodvibes
Have fun!!
