I am taking my girls to DL in November. I am very pooh sized 24/26. Of course I am trying to loose weight. My question is what rides/attractions are not for the pooh size? I do not want to embarrass myself trying to fit on somethins I can not. Also are there alternate enterances to use in stead of turn styles?

Worry no more, dear Disney friend--you will be just fine. I am about your same size and I fit in all the rides...the Matterhorn was a little tight, but just ask to ride the car with one other person...some of the cast members try to get four people in those little cars...just plop down and don't let them! Dumbo was also a little bit tight, and I actually opted to only ride this particular ride once because of it. And no, you do not have to go through those darn turnstyles...go to the exit or handicapped entrance of each ride and let the cast member know you need to come in that way. I am pretty positive you and your dear daughters will have a wonderful trip. So please..don't worry about your size! You will see people of all sizes and shapes and they are all having the time of their lives...and you will, too. Have a magical trip, filled with a lot of pixie dust!:yay:

And by the way, my family and I will be in DL in November, also!!!! We will be there the week before Thanksgiving, just in time for all of the wonderful Christmas decorations. Any chance you will be there at the same time?:goodvibes

The only thing that I had an issue with is Astro Orbitor, wierd seats that are really low. Nothing like trying to haul yourself out of the car gracefully when you are practically sitting on the floor :) Other than that, have a fantastic time because you can relax and not worry that you won't fit. I hope your trip is all that you need it to be for you and your family.

Disney is a wonderful trip for people of all shapes and sizes. Have no worries - just relax and enjoy!

I am around a 2 - 3X (22-24) and found the canoes REALLY hard to get out of. Doing up seatbelts for me this trip was a little tricky, I kind of struggled longer than the rest of my (thin) family trying to pull the belt long enough and place it into the seatbelt slot. I could get past the turnstile on Mr. Toad's Wild ride with no problem, as well as BTMR but I do notice that I don't look very graceful when I do it. Oh well. I used to be a size 5. Most comfortable around size 7-9. Last 5 years had some severe issues with Crohn's disease and for some reason it affects me by gaining weight.

I would strongly suggest that at every chance you get, that when sitting on a ride, (POTC) try to turn your feet outward so that the soles of your feet are resting! Your feet will really hurt, I would think, from walking around. Mine sure did, and I got blisters on the bottom of my feet but they reabsorbed into my skin, I just placed a tattoo waterproof bandaid on it, then some moleskin. Advil is my best friend at the parks. I take it a couple of times a day.

When you get to your hotel, I suggest using cold washcloths to cover your feet and change them out. It feels really nice!! Also, buy some cooling foot lotion or cooling foot spray (Avon.) Avon also carries an anti-blister balm as a preventative measure against blisters.

You will be just fine, and you will notice there are a lot of pooh sized people walking around the parks. You may or may not have to use the handicapped entrances, if you do, feel totally free to do so. If not, enjoy the regular lines. That was a good suggestion.

DO NOT worry about stepping on a seat as a step to get out of the ride if need be - you don't want to overextend your legs by taking too big of a step. (Such as when getting out of POTC.)

I believe Silly Symphony Swings in DCA has a weight limit, but as it does not appeal to me, I am not sure what it is. Everything else you may find a little snug but it won't be a definite no-go. That said...

Nemo Sub seats are narrow. We did best by having the baby sit on DH's lap so he could take up both their seats. Also, if someone is tall, getting them loaded first is worthwhile because there's a little extra leg room at the front of the sub.

The teacup CM says teacups seat five. The teacup CM clearly has a butt the size of a toaster waffle. We were cramped at three plus a baby, especially since one of us is TALL.

DH says tall is harder than wide. He's both, he'd know.

I am also a size 26. I have some mobility issues and climbing in and out was the hardest part for me but the cm's were fantastic and I never felt embarassed. The turnstiles were a little tight and I agree with using the exit. I don't recall any issues with "fitting in a ride" but we did not get to ride the Matterhorn as it was down for refurb when we were there.Have fun.I know I had a blast:cool1:

Matterhorn was a little hard to get low down into but certainly do-able, both entering and exiting the ride. For the seatbelts that are slid to a smaller measurement, I always have to change it to pooh sized, but it can be done fairly quickly, and it is what it is.

Thank you for all your responses. I will be there Nov 22 & 23. I like the info on the Avon cooling cream and anti blister stuff. I will be purchasing both item.
I am excited to see the Christmas decorations are going to be up! We have experienced the WDW

Any opionions on pooh sized people riding BTMRR with a smaller child. My daughter is 6 and about 60lbs so I am afraid that the lap bar won't be close enough to her for us to ride together. :sad1:

I've ridden BTMRR with my DS since he was 4 and it's not a problem. The lap bar doesn't come close to him at all but there is no way he could fall out unless he decided to climb out. I just hug him tightly! It's never felt unsafe!
