Hi ladies, here is my dilema. I have 2 strollers. 1 is the graco quatro tour its huge heavy but very comfortable for baby and for long long walks. I also have the new chico ct 5 stroller with an extra sun shade. My question is which do you think will be better at disney or am I just better off renting a stroller at the park??? My son is 1 and we do not plan on leaving for naps so I need the stroller to be comfortable enough for him to sleep in and what not.

BTW we are going to Magic Kingdom.

TIA

Linda

The rental strollers are not conducive to napping ... hard plastic and low to the ground and you probably have better shade coverage on your stroller. I would bring whichever stroller is the most lightweight to wrangle on Disney transportation. Since you are hoping your son will nap, which one does he prefer?

Oh by the way....Welcome to the Dis!!! There is a ton of great info here. Happy planning.

Hi and WELCOME! :)

There's a stroller brand out there called Maclaren. I hear the handles extend for "Daddy" to be able to reach comfortably and that it folds nicely and quickly and weighs very little. HTH!! :)

I have both of those strollers, we are taking the C5 next month for are 10 month old, we do plan to go back to the hotel for naps though.

If you are planning on staying at the parks for naps, I would bring whichever one has the recline feature. We also have a Chicco, but we brought our full-size Graco metro-lite in November, it worked great. He napped without a problem in it. Either way, I highly recommend bringing your own stroller and not renting. The rentals do not look real comfortable for napping in.

We brought our Chicco C5 for our last 3 trips, it was great and light enought getting off and on the busses.

Chicco all the way!! I've used one for many years for my kids. You'd be amazed where kids will fall asleep when they're tired!! You could always make it your main stroller for a few weeks before you leave so your son will know it as the normal stroller and won't give you any trouble.

You didn't say when you were going... If it's hot you may want to take a pillow case or something cool to lay in it for him to rest on?

Enjoy your trip!!!

I will be going next week. So not too much time to get him acclamated with the stroller. KWIM?

That's plenty of time! Make a few trips to the mall and go for some walks in it!! Add a favorite toy and some snacks (maybe a sippy cup of water) and he'll be good to go!

I am bringing my Mac Quest from home for the airport pool etc and I am renting the quattro from ABBF for long days in the parks so that DS can nap, he will be 1 at the time. My mac does recline nicely and he does sleep in it but the quattro has more space for bags etc and the tray for him. I think that I will use both depending on the situation. Good luck!

If you are only bringing one baby and are going with your dh, and not leaving MK, I would definetly bring the Quattro Tour. It has more than enough space for your diaper bag, etc, and has a much better recline and shade.
