going to disney&uni again! Sep 2011

So you know exactly what it's like to have a baby before you've been married for a year! There should be a club, LOL.

For the week between wedding and cruise it was just so hot here...I'm still amazed that Eamon exists b/c of that.

And by the time we got on the ship I had already become a furnace (before pregnancy I was an icicle...my mom played a game while driving when my brother and I were little and basically the same size, where she would put her hand behind her and one of us would touch her hand, and she would tell us who it was...turns out it was because I was ALWAYS cold and brother was always normal), so it was nice to have the outside temperature be cooler than tropical. :)

Yes, I certainly do. I was so hot too and it seemed to me that it was was the hottest year on record. She was born in April and by February I was hot enough to Wear tank tops and shorts. Thankfully the way stores stock clothes there were summer maternity clothes in the stores.

E is being Lego Indiana Jones today (can't be "real" Indy as he still hasn't seen any of the movies). So he's wearing his ballet costume which sort of looks like a tuxedo shirt and pants, and it has a bowtie...he put his gold sequined vest on top of it (also from the recital), and he has his cowboy hat on (as Indy's fedora b/c his mean parents refuse to buy him a real fedora, oh we're so mean) and he's carrying around his Pirates musket....

But to him, he's Indy!

Oh this kid is awesome....

I love to watch kids play. Their imaginations abound.:goodvibes

My username is actually for that festival. :)

What's odd is that I don't much like that festival anymore, because they charge to get in and it's hot and crowded and getting into and out of Seattle for it is a pain.... I really like the Folk Life festival, which is many of the same music groups, same vendors, and it's a donation instead of a fee... But naming myself Folk Life sounded weird. :)

The other night we were watching a little bit of Star Wars, during a lightsaber battle scene, and I caught the barest hint in my mind/heart/wherever sensory-memories are truly stored of the feeling I had when I first saw the lightsabers... They looked so *magical* to me, so amazing, just the COOLEST things... And when I have those little memories, it helps me remember that, to Eamon, when he's wearing this funny mishmash outfit, he truly IS that character.

Yesterday he watched the Jonas Brothers episode where they are in The Three Musketeers (yes we got the two DVDs of their show for his birthday), and he went and found the red feather from his Peter Pan hat, taped it to his cowboy hat, and for hours he WAS one of the 3 Musketeers (and sort of one of the Jonas Brothers).

woopsy, double post. I'll make use of it....

When should we do the halloween party (lol, cracks me up that this will be in september)? Should I ask my cousin if they have interest in it (but I'd hate to accidentally say it in such a way that she feels pressure, or wants to pay for our tickets or something), or just assume they wouldn't (can't even imagine their son staying still while seeing the Headless Horseman in the parade, or any of the villians) and go later in our trip? Buy now, buy later?

Decisions decisions.

I just got a $10 off coupon for Rainforest Cafe...but it expires 9/18, which is annoying. Though I *think* that's after the big-family-time... I just hate pressuring the extended family into doing anything that might cost more money!

For anyone who is into scrapbooks (digital ones), shutterfly has gotten pretty interesting with all you can do. I'm making E's annual year book, and it's amazing what you can do now.

I made a real cute photobook on there last week for my great nephew to have to look at during my sisters funeral service today. I love all the cute things you can do on those sites.

Thank you Molly.

He was an amazing thing to have at the service. His innocence and just hearing him was enough to lighten the whole thing. He did love his book. He loves Duffy and when he saw the picture of Mickey Mouse and Duffy her was thrilled.

The funeral for my friend's dad, that I went to in Feb, was lightened by the sounds of the babies and little kids... Wish there'd been some at my mom's, that's for sure.

Mickey and Duffy pictures, awwww.

******************

Back to paper-scrapbooking for right now. I sure would like to be done with this project so we can have our dining table back.

Of course, I realized that I need to have an order $30 or more to use my credit on shutterfly, so I have to make MORE digital scrapbooks before the 28th.

Ack!

By the way, I hate dieting. Yeah yeah, lifestyle change blah blah blah...the last 15 years have *clearly* shown me that the lifestyle my body wants to have is a lifestyle in clothing larger than I want my clothing to be. So...diet and exercise it must be.

Yesterday I tried this weird new bike at the Y with a videoscreen showing different routes...brand name is Expresso, I think? It was interesting. Kicked my butt. Which is exactly as it should do. Would it be weird to wear padded bike shorts for a stationary bike, though? Seriously, youch.

Today I bring music for it.

E is playing a game on lego.com...he lost...it told him so...by saying... "You Loose!"

Uh, what?

Back to gluing things on other things then other things and into the scrapbook. (why do I think paper scrapbooking is so much better than digital?)

I am soooo not a paper scrap booker. I think I could get into digital scrap booking but the right time has not presented itself.

My younger Dsis is into the paper and all of the doo dads that she has for her pictures and she makes really cute things.....I just don't like it. It makes me cranky. :lmao:

I admire people that have the patience for it, though, because I think the pages turn out so cute. :flower3:

See if you can spot the trip-related bit! :)

Oh I wouldn't say that I make anything cute scrapbook pages, that's for sure! But it suits my eyes and makes an attempt to tell the story of whatever, so it works for me.

I've traditionally been a photo album girl...but that's starting to change in the last few months. My brother mentioned a few years ago that he thinks it is silly to actually print photos, because who looks at the albums, and I've realized that for me that's getting more and more true. He cycles his pictures on his computer. I'm finding that I enjoy looking at the scrapbooks more than at every single picture I've ever taken in the albums... Plus I'm almost out of albums, LOL.

********
We're playing Dog Owner for the next day and a half. Our neighbors went on a little mini-trip and didn't want to bring their little poodle (I guess she doesn't do well in hotel rooms), so we're watching her. She was very unhappy that her people left her behind, but she's settling in. It's not the first time we've watched her.

********
2 years ago this date my sis in law had sent me and Eamon off to Disneyland, and a few hours from now is when we checked into PPH and I found out that Michael Jackson (and Farrah Fawcett) had died. Amazing that it's been 2 years.

And while I was realizing that about the date, I realized that in 3 months we'll be heading home from our second WDW trip. Talk about your depressing group of realities about this date!

*********
So I've been doing acupuncture...went in for fertility-enhancing reasons, but then I got so so sick, and she's been focusing on my lungs. Finally got those under control, and I don't feel like I have rubber bands inside my chest anymore (thank goodness), and now she's back to focusing on the health of other parts of my body (my mom always said that "bod-why" LOL), which means I gotta drink a tea made of bark and other things (seriously, one of the ingredients is peony flower plant with bark LOL) and it's so so so so disgusting! Felt energizing, though, when I drank the first bit yesterday...and now I have to up the dose...so that's even MORE disgusting stuff to drink.

Oh yargh, just took a tiny sip, bleah bleah bleah bleah.

I do the paper and the digital scrap booking. I love the ease of the digital now I have $100 to spend on Picaboo and it has to be done at once. I am not complaining, I got the $100 for $35. The money can go towards the postage too. My complaint is you have to spend it all at once. So I am going to scrap booking like crazy.:lmao:

Yes, it was. And I think it will be fun doing it. We are going on a picnic on Tuesday so I am taking a lot of pictures for it.

Finished up the scrapbook Robert wanted...soft-sided pix of his family to take on trips with him. I decided that I would include wedding pictures of us, a few belly pictures, and then pictures of E from each May of his life. Just a way to keep it simple and keep me from having to look through EVERY single picture yet again. :3dglasses

So that's around $22 of the $30...gotta figure out something else! I'd love to make more big prints, but I have so many pictures I need to put in frames and put up...I know that more prints would just sit in my print folder...
