Hi..We are going to Disney in 2 weeks...6 adults, 5 children..and the only ADR we have is a Crystal Palace breakfast and a Chef Mickey dinner.. :rolleyes2 HELP! Where do you think we will be able to eat?? Can we call on the same day we visit the park?? What should we do?? We are going to MK, Universal and MGM..Thanks

You are going in the heart of Spring Break. Since the dining plan has been introduced, reservations have been difficult. I know my kids and they are not able to wait an hour for a table. Will your whole group be dining together? Why wouldn't you make ADRs? In everyday life there are waits for tables of 11...what would you expect of Disney at Spring BreaK?:confused3

You are going Easter week? For a group of 11, I am almost positive it will be impossible to be seated with day-of ADRs or walk-ups. You should really call right now to see if there is anything available during what is one of the busiest times of the year.

Welcome Deb!

As for Disney you can call anytime; (407) WDW-DINE. I have called the same day... but with a party the size of yours you'll want to call sooner than later.

But don't worry you won't starve! There's food everywhere! You didn't say how many days your staying but I don't recommend making more than one AR per day, it can take up a lot of your time. You only need an AR for meals you want to sit down & relax or character meals. There are plenty of quick service & snack stations around MK, everyone has their favorites but all of them are pretty good.

When you do MGM, if you plan to do an AR try to do the Fantasmic package -- which gets you reserved seats for the show at no extra charge. We like the buffet at Hollywood & Vine or Sci Fi Dine In... but there are several other great restaurants there too.

As for Universal, we have always hit Perkins for breakfast before going in and Olive Garden after we leave, but I know they also have lots of restaurants in the "City Walk".

If at all possible I would try to make more ADR's for your trip. We were there last year in June and had a few nights that we did not plan anything for and it was very difficult to find a restaurant (it was just the 4 of us). If you don't mind CS meals, you'll be fine. Your best bet for TS might be at the resorts...can't hurt to try.

Enjoy your trip! :sunny:
