Going to CC Twice!

Ok, my TA e-mailed me and has SPR 5020 on hold for me for the 10-14-06 double CC cruise and the price for 2 of us is $1879.00. That is a Cat 10/but I have the Window!


What do you guys think!!! Should I go for it!!!!!

What is $500 more on my credit card!!! Right!!

OMG! Decisions to make.......

I would book it Babyjosie98 ! SPH 5020 is practically unobstructed compared to some of the other SPH rooms. I have 5522 & 5524 this Nov cruise because we need 2 connecting rooms (family of 5) and I have more obstruction than your room does. I think your price is terrific and in case you have bad weather on your cruise and it requires you missing CC on the first day you'll get another shot at it the second time around. If the weather behaves that week, then you make out doubly good.
BTW, I notice in your siggy that you were on the Nov 3-7, 2002 Wonder cruise. We were on that same cruise that year ! Didn't we have wonderful weather and smooth seas ?!

Is there a place that lists all of the double-CC sailings in 2006? It appears that there are several. Or, does anyone know all of them & could you list them, please? Thanx.

Yes! We did have lovely weather and we sailed last year the same time and again had great weather. I booked on the Magic already for next October.
I know it is till Hurricane season,but we always have lovely weather at that time of year.
We had 5020 for last years sailing and I loved. I got 5520 for the one in October 2005.

Here is my other option: She said all the SPR are gone on the 5-27-06 cruise...ALREADY!! I can get a Cat 11 for $2000.
Do you think there is a good chance for upgrades booking so early? It would be fun to try a different time of year and the kiddo is out of school. Although she will only miss 3 das that week of October. They are always off 2 days the 3rd week of Oct.

I have till Monday to make up my mind...

Thank you. I actually ended up calling DCL about our current upcoming cruise & asked her about all of the double-CC 2006 sailings. I asked for quotes on several of them for a Cat. 6 w/2 adults. Here's some of them:

5/27 - $3,5987.56
10/14 - $2,977.56
11/11 - $3,237.56
12/9 - $2,977.56
(Sorry none for the summer - don't like to cruise then)

Checked on the SPH's just for the heck of it. Most of them were gone - probably a lot on hold already, also.

The reservationist asked me if I was a travel agent because I "know so much & the right questions to ask". I told her she can give the credit to these boards. Even after 3 DCL cruises, I definitely can credit a large amt. of my knowledge to here! She said she's heard of the DIS.

She also told me that the current deposit for the 3/4-nts. (Cat. 4-12) is still $200.00 pp. I asked her to double-check it & she said it's correct. 7-nt is $250. pp. She said that deposits are now due 4-7 days after making the reserv. & that full payment is always due 75 days prior now.

Well - our group now has 8 staterooms booked on the 10-14-06 7 night!

BABYJOSIE98: You'll have to find someone else to show you the Cat. 1 - I was "lucky" enough to be first in line, but at over $12,500 for 2 adults and 4 kids 8 and under - decided to pass... TWO connecting category 6 rooms were HALF the price!!!

Anyone else booked on the 10-14-06?

Hieatt Yes, We are booked for 10/14/06. We booked while on board 2 weeks ago. 2 years seems Sooo far away!!!!
A lot of the people we sailed with on 10/2/04 are also booked for the 10/14/06 cruise. There is even a thread started for it already. Come check it out!

I don't blame you!! Too much money...Save it to spend on the trip!

I booked a SPR Cat 10 room 5020 for 10-14-06!!!!

Next year at this time I will be on the 1015-05 MAGIC sailing and I guess 2 years from now we will be on our 10-14-06 cruise!

I just hope DD's school schedule holds up as it has for the past 3 years and then she will only miss 3 days of school!

If not I will pull her out anyway...She is a good student!

we're also on the 7/22/06 special sailing. There are 4 of us, myself, DH DS 16(yikes) and DS 9 at the time of sailing, My DH thought I was nuts to book something 2 years in advance. LOL
We have cat 9 room 2014 reserved.
