Going to CA and DL. Quick car rental question.

Hi everyone!

I am leaving for CA and Disneyland in 13 days and need to rent a minivan from LAX.
We used to live in the L.A. area so I have never needed to rent a car in that area. I have been checking rates. We need to get a good deal on this one. (going broke already! LOL)

Ace car rental seemed to have a good price. But I have never heard of them. Anyone have any experience with them? Would you rent from an unknown company or pay more to go with a "name brand"??

I need a minivan for June 18 thru July 4 with unlimited mileage and preferably one that can be taken into Vegas as well. If anyone has any advice of who to try I would appreciate it.

I got a ressie with Thrifty at LAX for June 24 - July 2. They had a fantastic rate for a "luxury" vehicle, which would supposedly be a Chrysler 300. I don't know anything about Ace, though, sorry.

That's okay. Thrifty was one of our choices as well. They seemed to have some good deals going on to.
At least I have heard of them.

I rented a van from Thrifty/LAX a couple of times. One thing to know: they are very particular about dings, etc. to the vehicle. Make sure you go over it carefully and mark everything before leaving the lot. Anything larger than quarter-sized they will want to charge you for. I never had a problem with actual charges, but am glad to have checked carefully. Before turning the vehicle in once I was cleaning an area that had a black scrape mark (I had backed into a snow bank and wanted to make sure) and found their clear sticker they put on dings---someone had been charged for a mark that I was able to take off with the sponge.
