We are going to BW for the first and most likley the last time the last week of June. It was a II trade and since DVC dropped II we most likley will not be staying on site in the future.

What should we do to make the most out of our vacation. We are not made out of money, but would like to have a memerable vacation. We will be eating out sometimes, but will also be using the kitchen offten. we are a family of 4 (DH, DW, DD 16, DD10).

What type of requests should I make for the room? I have a UUU1 one bedroom. Does that mean anytrhing?

What would you concider to be must do's for a one week trip? We have been to WDW several times before.

Thanks for any input you may have.

Since you are trading in with II, the room view is most likely a standard. Have you ever stayed at BW before? The hallways are very long. The furtherest from the elevator are the closest to the parking lot and a shorter walk to Disney Hollywood Studiio's. I usually request a room close to the elevators as we prefer to be closer to the main lobby, the boardwalk entrance, and pool area, but it really is a personal preference.

You say you've been to Disney alot, but you don't say what you have or haven't done, so the suggestions for a "memorable" vacation may be redundant. I would say try to see the fireworks in each park, maybe on a dining night out try to plan a Fantasmic Dinner Package (dinner in one of the DHS participating restaurants, and preferred seating for the Fantasmic show). Try to get on the newer rides, or the ones you haven't done often.
Resort hopping is always a fun way to spend part of a day, or a full day, if you want a break from the parks. We usually have lunch (instead of a more costly dinner) at one of the restaurants at a monorail resort, explore the resort and jump on the monorail and see the other two monorail resorts. Try to get into the front of the monorail, if you are among the first waiting for the monorail, ask a CM if you can ride in the front. I think it seats 4. You can plan to be on the shuttle boat around the 7 seas during the wishes fireworks for a quieter, less crowded way to see them, if memory serves they pipe the music into the boats.

Spend an evening on the BW watching the strolling entertainment, and having an ice cream. This is a nice relaxing thing to do without fighting crowded parks or spending lots of money.

Oh, and if you are going to be in the Magic Kingdom, try to catch the flag ceremony. My son and I watched this, and it was very moving and I thought unique and special. I believe it happens around 5 pm each day by the flag pole at the entrance.

Good luck, hope your trip is awesome! BTW, how long did you have to wait to get a trade in through II? We never were able to do so, so we bought into DVC instead ;)

Schedule some down time to enjoy the Boardwalk. They have evening entertainers that perform right on the boards with the people.

Grab one of the best funnel cakes you will ever eat.

Rent a surrey bike, if you have the strong legs for it.

Stroll over to the bridge that leads from the Boardwalk toward the International Gateway entrance to Epcot and watch Illuminations without fighting the Epcot crowds.

Brave the clown pool slide. My tip is to lie flat if you like speed, or stay sitting up if you want a tamer experience.

Walk over to Beaches and Cream (Beach Club area) and see if your family can wipe out a Kitchen Sink treat.

I have heard others say that a long walk with a Standard View can mean a view of Illuminations from your balcony, request top floor unless it makes you nervous.

I'd bet your room is a preferred view - like a pool or water view, but not the Boardwalk view. Standard view is about 20% of the total number of villas and get booked up quickly by owners at BWV. The preferred view (non BW view) is about 60% of the total villas.

So you might either look out at Luna Park or the leisure pool (non-themed pool). Or you might look out on the Village Green that looks toward Epcot and the BWInn.

Not too many counter service meals at the BW, but Spoodles does have the pizza window, BC has the Marketplace across the water, Swan and Dolphin have a few counter service areas (they've changed names since the last time we ate there), plus you have the Bakery. Or, if you have park hoppers, you could always bop over to Epcot or Disney Hollywood Studios to eat there.

You're not too far from Fantasia Gardens miniature golf over near the Swan.

BWV is my home resort, but we fell in love with it when our kids were teens - DS always loved the freedom of having so many places to wander around without us when he was 16! He loved the boardwalk, ESPN club's arcade, even the BW fitness club. He is now off at college, so DNeph (11) has been coming with us the last few years and he also always requests a stay at BWV - he LOVES the clown pool slide, playing video games at Community Hall and the night life on the boardwalk. This year we will also be down the last week of June - splitting our trip between BWV and AKV - we are hoping that Star Wars Weekend will be held in June again this year at HS - that is one of his favorite special events!! One other thing we love - eating at Beaches & Cream at Beach Club - and DS loved renting the water sprites at BC marina for some fun on his own (get the theme?, as a teen he loved being on his own;) - no wonder he picked a college on the far side of the country - very independent!) - we also did the Segway tour at Epcot on his 16th birthday - that was awesome!! You have picked a great resort for the ages of your kids - ENJOY!
