Going to Atlanta for the First Time for a Conference.

I have to go to Atlanta for a conference in December and we'll be staying at the Westin Peachtree Plaza. I've never been to Atlanta before. Can anyone tell me anything about this hotel? Are there budget friendly places to eat around here? I've heard Atlanta is expensive.

The conference itself is taking place at the Georgia World Conference Center. Do you have to pay for wi-fi at this conference center? Anyone know anything about this center?

I know we'll get a small allowance for food after we come back from the week long conference but I'm personally on a tight budget so I'm trying to get an idea of things before I go.
