Going to AKL for $109 over Christmas

I am so excited! I've been checking boards for discounts, and finally got an email for a deluxe resort from 109 per nite 11/2 thru 12/26. Called and its only available for AKL or WL, but we'd love to stay at either. Couldn't find anything for WL, but booked 6 nites over Christmas at AKL, standard room, 109 per nite.
I am estatic! It will be our first time staying at AKL. We've visited it before, but can't wait to actually be staying there. We were at Disney in early December of 2001, and can't wait to see all the Christmas decorations again.

So happy for you. We have never stayed either but have visited also. It really is a beautiful resort. What a great price! It's hard to believe the discounts this year thru the holidays, yet the summer rates took so long for those waiting. Hope you have a wonderful time. We will be at VWL just after the decorations go up. Have heard they are the best. Hope you have a magical stay.

We got that card once, immediately booked it.

When we arrived they asked if we wanted 2 queens or the 1 queen and bunk bed.

I requested the bunk bed "because I have a boy & girl".

They said they would have to upgrade me to the savanna room because they were out of the bunks in standard.

Not only did we get savanna, but in a small wing off zebra that looked at the giraffes and could see pool to the right. When we sat we could not see any other parts of the building so it was so private. Just us and the giraffes.

It was awesome! I could have sat on balcony all day long.

Our favorite by far now !!!
