My daughter is now 3, and is about to out grow her car seat. On her two previous visits to Disney she has had her own seat, using her Britax car seat. We have been looking into booster's, and I was just thinking about our flight in October. Does anyone have any recomendations or tips?
Thanks in advance
Tim

If she'll still be using the 5-pt harness on the booster seat than you can use it on the plane. If she's just using the seat belt than you can't because there isn't a shoulder strap. We have Century Next Step booster seats for DD. She's still using the 5-pt harness because she's not yet 40 lbs. I like the seat and they're easy to install.

We have the Graco that also has the 5-point and converts to seatbelt only. We checked out many reviews on epinions and consumer reports. So far we have been very happy with the Graco. There are several versions with the main difference being the amount of padding.

As said, epinions is a great way to get ideas on this: http://www.epinions.com/kifm-Baby_Equipment-Car_Seats-All

We just went through the booster debate a couple months ago with our 4 yr old. We had him in the Britax Roundabout which he outgrew. We almost bought the Graco TurboBooster, BUT we decided that it was safer for him to remain in a 5-point harness for longer. So we bought the Britax Husky. It's a BIG seat and will last him till he's 80lbs. I don't think it would work on an airplane though, it really is big. It's also one of the most expensive seats out there. It fits perfectly in our minivan though so we're very happy with it.

Anyway, good luck in your search! :)

When we outgrew the Roundabout we moved to the Britax Marathon specifically because we wanted a seat that was FAA approved for bigger kids. At the time it was the only 5 pt harness for over 40lbs. that was FAA approved. It goes to 65lbs. I am not sure if there are others out there now for kids over 40lbs that can go on airplanes or not.

It's a nice seat, but it is big. My ds is getting big and our last flight was on a small United plane and it was a tight fit, but it worked. I just like having him in the car seat for the 5 hour flight. I worry without the carseat he wouldn't fall asleep for at least some of the trip.

Good luck!
