We are considering our first trip to Universal Orlando after many family trips to Disney. We would like to stay about a week so we can tour both parks and maybe include Seaworld for a day or two. We plan to stay onsite so that we have use of express pass. Our school vacation week is Easter week this spring. My son will be 12 and my daughter will be a few weeks from her 10th birthday. I am a little worried about crowds that week. I know that week at Disney is incredibly crowded. Any options welcome :goodvibes

Book when you know your dates as it does get busy

UO onsite hotels has free shuttles to SW

Yes, we went Easter of 2015. It was very crowded. I wouldn't go back during that time without the express passes. "Stay one step ahead" is our motto. Get to the parks early, eat lunch at 11am, get back to the pools for a good spot while most are still eating lunch, rest and enjoy the pools, eat early dinner and get back into the parks in the evenings until close.

As Mac said, book your rooms as soon as you decide. The prices could go up and the rooms will be booked.

We went last year on Easter and it wasn't too bad, hoping this year will be the same

Thank you all for your relies! After seeing how outrageous airfare prices were going to be that week...we are now thinking of going next August. We have some flexibility that time of year and prices are so much better! We leave for Disney on Saturday so we will see how we handle the summer heat!

Late August will be a lot less crowded than Easter time

Stay on site and take afternoon. Breaks at the hotel pool in August

Do that from 2-4

Return by 5 to the parks and be refreshed from the summer sun

I am going that week to surprise my kids with a US trip for a couple days. What would be people's estimates for line length of time for this unique year where the Northeast school vacations falls when Easter week is? :scared::scared1:
