Going the week after Christmas...

am i nuts?????

We are planning a spur of the moment trip for a week starting Dec. 26th. Will we regret it? I have Been many times but in slow seasons..will I go nuts or will it be OK?

You are not nuts. We went last year 12/29-1/04 and are returning this year 12/27-1/02/04. Its great to celebrate NYE at WDW..this year at MGM for us ...last year at Epcot. Just be prepared for crowds, use FP's, make PS's, go early or go very late and exit parks at peak times for other fun. After 1/1..the crowds thin out. I am planning on avoiding EE days but if there is a e-night at MK that week, I' d do that. We have PS at Brown Derby for NYE and late breakfast NYday at Boma. Have fun!

I went the week your planning on going almost two years ago. It was crowded yes but it was also really nice. Decorations are still up and it still feels like christmas. I wish you the best of luck.

You are not nuts...but you MUST plan, plan, plan. and be willing to get up early!

Last year was the first year we "spilled" into the dreaded "PEAK WEEK," after December 25th. I was very worried! However, we went to MK on December 26, arrived at 7AM for EE, and HAD THE PLACE TO OURSELVES until 9:00--from 9 until 10 the crowds were fairly light. We bailed shortly thereaftre, but HEY!, we had done ride after ride with no lines for three hours!

In fact, I was so pleased with our experience that we are going this year from Dec. 26-Jan 3. I now know that it can work! (we had done Jan 1-2-3 befoare, so I know that is okay, but I was worried about the rest!)

It is a FUN TIME! And yes you can plan plan plan or if you go often enough then just ENJOY ENJOY ENJOY.

NYE is AWESOME. We have done EPCOT and PI. PI is really good but being from Philadelphia we love the STREET PARTY atmosphere of Epcot.

We have been there every year since the Millenium.
