I'm going to Disney solo in a couple of weeks for a business meeting. While staying there, I plan to take a day to one of the parks just me myself and I..Yay!!!

I have no idea where to stay! I've stayed at Grand Floridian and Poly, and while both were lovely, I'd love to stay somewhere I haven't stayed before.

I was thinking Beach Club, or Boardwalk..or should I go for Yacht Club?

I'd like to do the World Showcase and Downtown Disney if I have time.

Which hotel is your preference, and why?

I can't wait for this. I'm desperate to get away alone for a few days. I don't know what I'm going to do for meals. Probably room service. I'm not used to going to a restaurant alone.

I hope it's warm. I have a friend down there that said they're expecting snow this weekend!

I think I'm going to be trying the Boardwalk Inn on my next solo trip. I want to try the Boardwalk Bakery for breakfast.
It's supposed to be walking distance to Epcot and DHS (for sure you could take the boat too).

You should try some of the CS places in World Showcase. I've only tried Norway and Mexico so far and they were good.

All three are nice resorts. The Beach Club is closest to Epcot and the World Showcase if you walk. The Boardwalk is not much further. There are a ton or restaurants and things to do over by the Boardwalk. The Beach Club tends to have more families. The Yacht Club is the most quiet and closer to the boat dock to get to either Epcot or DHS. I have stayed in all three and like them all for different reasons. I would probably recommend the Boardwalk though.

If you've got the money, I vote for Boardwalk. It is really nice.

Try to get to a restaurant, don't just do room service!

I did it! I booked "Boardwalk". I have an annual pass from our August trip and I got the passholder discount..42% discount! I got the room for $197/night! woo hoo!

I'll definitely eat at Flying Fish and will try Kouzzina I think. I'll be meeting a friend there and am going to invite her to dinner one night.

The Boardwalk pool is under refurb, but I doubt I would swim anyway! They said guests can use Stormalong Bay at Beach Club while the Boardwalk pool is under refurb..now I'm bummed that it'll be too cold to swim because I have heard it's a great pool. Oh well, will have to stay at Beach Club sometimes..another excuse to come back!

I can't wait. Now just hoping all my kids stay healthy and there are no major snowstorms.
