What should I expect to pay for a 220 point contract at AKV? It has 65 banked 2009 points, 220 current points and 220 coming in Dec.

seems like the listed price is around $75 for most AKV contracts. 220 is a larger contract and harder to unload, so if it were me I would offer around $68 per point and see where it goes. I don't think I would pay $75 right now for a contract that size.

I agree that $68 is a good starting point. The contracts with lots of banked and current points seem to go the fastest and I think somewhere around $75/point would be a good deal on that contract. Points are being rented out for over $10/point so your current 285 points are worth quite a bit IMO.

Thanks, We went in at $68 and are waiting to hear. How long does it usually take for sellers to respond? We don't think we'd go over $72, but maybe that isn't realistic? We shall see. This is our first resale buy. We've added on twice with Disney, but this seemed like a good contract and now that Disney makes you pay the closing with them, what is the point? This will hopefully work out and bring us to our retirement level of 700+ points. We want to spend a month down there every year when we retire--still many years away. DH thinks it makes sense to have the points and use them. We usually take one other big trip a year besides WDW, but it's getting prohibitively expensive now that our twins need a plane seat. Also we are lucky enough to have seen much of the world and some simple trips on our points might be just the thing for the next few years. Wish me luck!

Good luck on the contract! :goodvibes We just bought our first DVC contract and it has now just been sent to ROFR... it was only 100 points though.. there were several contracts with 100 points for AKV..

We passed on two contracts... one with 68pp with all 2011 and 2012 points but had no banked points that was offered to us.. the other one we passed on was 72pp with all of 2010 points banked with split MF because another seller came back with the same amount of points and use year with 70pp with all of 2010 points banked and split MF...

The larger contracts may be a little harder to sell so they may be more willing to work with you on price?

Well our deal went no where. The seller didn't even counter, just firm and final at $76 per point. Now we are looking at a contracct for SSR. We figure we can get it much cheaper and it is only three years shorter on the contract. Does any one trust any of the other timeshare sellers besides Timeshare store? I've seen other listings, but I'm wary.
