Going on tours when traveling with kids

There are a couple of tours that we would like to do while at WDW, but we are traveling with children (10 and 7) and the tours are for adults only. My question is . . . what can we do with the kids while we are on the tours? Specifically, we'd like to do the "Backstage Magic" tour which is 7 hours long. I don't want to pay for babysitting for that long, and the kids won't want to be in a kid's club at the resort for that long, so I'm wondering if there are any other alternatives?

I don't know of any alternatives. You either have a babysitter or a kid's club or some kind of offsite daycare.

Perhaps you can split up and you do the tour one day while your spouse watches the kids then swap the next day.

Bring Grandma on the trip???:goodvibes

There aren't really any other alternatives I can think of except waiting until the kids are old enough to do the tours. I have a 10yo....as soon as he's old enough, we're going to start doing some of those tours (we can't wait to try the Segway tour).

I can't imagine leaving my kids with a sitter that long in Disney, but then we never use those Kids clubs or sitters.
