My DH booked a fireworks cruise for us on the Grand One as an early birthday present to me--we're going again in a couple of weeks.
He also decided that one hour wasn't long enough the last time, and booked for two hours!
My sister, BIL, and their kids will be with us. We're eating at Narcooses for dinner that night, and they are going to bring the boat around to pick us up a the dock there. We figure we'll just be finishing dinner about the time it arrives, so we can say how pretty "that boat" is. Then we'll suprise them when we go out to the dock to "watch the fireworks" and get on
He's leaving it up to me to order some snacks, I'm thinking about ordering dessert for onboard, as we will have just eaten dinner. Now how to get them to not want to order dessert at Narcooses without blowing the suprise. Anyone have any ideas?
My DH tried to plan it all as a suprise for me, but decided to tell me for a couple of reasons. He wanted to make sure I didn't go changing our plans around for that night, and he also wanted to know if I thought my sister would freak about putting her kids on the boat (she's an extrememly overprotective mommy.) he also wants me to take care of ordering the dessert, as he knows I'll be able to choose something that everyone will like that will make sense with the kids.
I think he might have a couple other suprises up his sleeve though
