Hi! I've been checking these boards out everynight for over a week and it is so addicting!!! We are going on our 1st Disney Cruise (3 nights) April 15, 2006. DH, DS 9, DD 2 and myself.
I have alot of questions, but I'll try to keep it short.... First of all- My daughter turned 2 in August- I am going to start trying the "Big Potty" with her because it would break her heart if she saw others swimming and she couldnt participate.... Has anyone been through that? Another thing is signing up for Palos and the Spa and Flounders.... I want to sign Alyvia up for at least 3 sessions in Flounders and one dinner at Palos and a massage... Should DH and I split up when we get on board- Is it that big of deal? Also, what if he makes a reservation for dinner and i can't get our daughter in Flounders for the time? I am sure there is an easy answer to all this... Its just that I keep reading boards (my husband says i read to much) & it sounds pretty stressful. One more thing.... I think it would be cool if my 9 year old could have a little email buddy that will be on the cruise... He is a good boy ( I am biased) , loves school, video games, is on the swim team at the YMCA- If anyone has a son cruising April 15- and wants to intoduce the boys, let me know! Thanks! Sorry this is so long!

My little girl Sarah is turning 9 months tomorrow. When we were on the 08/21 Eastern Caribbean sailing of the Magic I had the same questions.

If you think about it parents don't drop off their children at Flounder's for no apparent reason. The two main reasons are Palos and the Spa so the managers at Flounders, Palos, and the Spa are very good at coordinating reservations for exactly that reason.

I went to Flounders first to secure a reservation, but quickly realized that in most cases a reservation at Flounders was quickly followed up by a reservation at the Spa or Palos.

Relax...the Cast Members on the cruise ship are very good at their job and understand your needs.

Have a great cruise.

Jeff

You might want to bring walkie talkies so you could coordinate the reservations. These might also come in handy for other uses as well. A family we were with used them with all of their children. I know on our first trip, ds was exploring and we all spent about 45 min. searching for each other going in circles.

Go to the cruise meet board and you will be able to see who is also cruising with you and hopefully you will find a buddy to hook your son up with.

Are you sure that you have the correct date? The reason I ask is that I am a travel agent and I just booked a client for that exact date and it is a seven day Eastern cruise, not a 3 day. I show the 3 day cruises leaving on April 13 and 20, 2006. I just don't want you to plan your whole trip around a wrong date.

I'm confused. If your daughter turned 2 in August, then by April 2006, she will be more than 3 1/2. At that point, she would be in the club and too old for Flounders.

I would get her potty trained asap.... also you may be able to get her into the regular club if she is potty trained and more than 21/2
she will be 2.8 correct? this will be something you will not know for sure untill you board.. policy states they must be with in a month of their birthday... but it has been known to happen..

YES you and your husband should split up for reservations.. and dont for get to enroll your 9yo...
