Going Nov29 need to get Airline tickets when?

Hi, we will be flying on December 29, how soon do I need to get my airline tickets? I was hoping to get coupons from Northwest before booking but now I'm worried that that might be too late. Sometimes NOrthwest sends me coupons and sometimes they don't.

i would be checking now for airfare. i booked my christmas airfare in march and i got it for $167 per person and the same airfare now is $425 per person, it doesnt hurt to keep checking.

we have free companion tickets for ata and when i just check the prices it comes out to a little more then what we are paying now.

sometimes discount/coupons/free companion airfare comes out to be the about or around the same .

Start looking now. If you find a reasonable flight with your choice of times, etc. then I would buy it.

If you wait, the cheaper seats may be on the later flights that get you into MCO at 10pm or later or on connecting flights.

Thanks for your advice!! I went ahead and booked this afternoon and did get some reasonable times. The rate from Knoxville on Delta was $315 though, but they said I could keep calling back and if the rates went down I could get a voucher for the difference to use on my next trip on Delta. You are right! The decent times are going fast apparently.
