still have a question about the crowds, last time for me at universal was early june 2004 and even with FOTL a few of the rides we road felt like we waited maybe 10 to 20 mins, maybe its because my child is hyper :rotfl2: , but anyway i was thinking about going in mid July (his birthday)

so my question is do you think there will be that much of a crowd difference from early june from mid july........

Thanks

Well..yeah, its the summer, of course its going to be busier as the summer wears on. It starts to slack off a little bit after the 4th of July, but it really doesnt start slowing way down until after labor day. A 10 to 20 min. wait on some of the rides arent bad in June, considering you wait how long at disney?? Just get some snacks to take in a book bag, and drinks that way you have something to occupy your little ones time with. Also one thing that works for my kids is a promise, if they're good, to get their faces painted. Of course this bribery only comes out once in a great while, when crowds are very robust. Oh, and you might want to reconsider July, as it tends to rain a little more, its considerably hotter, and therefore muggier that it is in June, and a hot muggy hyper kid is not a lot of fun.

Yes, even with FOTL you can encounter waits. Once in Dec (week prior to Christmas), there were 25 & 30 min waits with FOTL on some of the most popular attractions. There are also peak times where they will limit your riding to once per ride until after 3pm to help cut down on wait times with hotel FOTL. My suggestion is, if you really want to go in July (which I have done) is go. Even if you are an onsite guest, get to the park early, do every thing you want to do then head back to the hotel & swim. It will be extremely hot so the pool break would be a wise idea to cool down. That is one of the best reasons to stay onsite (beside the FOTL), you can come & go as many times as you want during the day... and not worry about parking ;)

I have seen FOTL queues get long also. usually its for the same reasons as the regular lines...for example, a show just let out...or ppl went straight to the first ride in bulk. I would just skip the ride and check later. There will be plenty of time to ride, dont worry. Relax. I know its hard. You dont want to believe how easy it could be because you are so used to planning things out to the minute. Even if you decide to wait in a few lines, it wont be as bad as you think. Because you dont have to rush around the park making sure you get your moneys worth. Take a few minutes to chat with the kids or people watch (one of my favorites). Have fun.
