Going May - when book DLH?

We've set that we are going at the beginning of May. Should we book DLH now? Do they give you a discount if one comes up before you go? We will be getting AP's and most likely have AAA too.

In the past you had to play a game with WDW resorts. Book early to get what you wanted. Call back when specials/discounts came out. Is DL the same?

Will we lose out if we wait too long?

For that time of year, how soon should we book a room?

Yes, book as soon as you know your dates!

I book by phone and you can call and add discounts that become available. I don't about that if you book on-line.

Yes, you could lose out if you wait too long, although, May is a great time to go in terms of crowds and such! As I mention above, if it were me, I'd book the room as soon as I knew my dates.

I would like to see more answers since I'm going in that week too.
The DLR hotels have promotion for the first bimester of 2012, do you think that since it's low season and pre-Carsland time, they would offer promotions as well? Has this been the case in the past?

If you make your reservation now, you can change it later or cancel to rebook if there is a deal that comes out later.

May usually has deals because it's an offseason period. After the Christmas holidays is when offers for after Spring Break are likely to appear.

Btw, if a good AP discount comes out for May - when I call them do I have to have the AP already or can I tell them I'll be buying it before we arrive and just show it at check in?

You don't need to have it at booking. Even if you have just a voucher at check in they'll be fine with that.

Thanks. I remember several years ago it became an issue at WDW. Not sure how they work it out now.
