Going in May

We are going to Florida for the first time in the middle of May. We have always wanted to go and have put it off for several reasons over the years. Our oldest is 17 1/2 and will soon be leaving home for foreign missions training. We figure it's now or maybe never to have our last family vacation. So we are putting off a new driveway and other home improvements in order to be able to afford this dream vacation.

We need information on renting a condo (there will be 5 of us...4 adults and 1 child), Universal Studios parks, Sea World, Busch Gardens, and Disney....and, of course, we will be going to see the beach while we are that close!

We are only going to Disney for one day...and yeah, I know that is not enough, but our 17 year old really wants to go to USO more than Disney. We will save Disney for another vacation with our 9 year old.

So if anyone can give us any advice on how to do a little of this and a little of that (we'll have 7-9 days not counting travel) on a budget it would be much appreciated.

Thanks so much!
Peggy

Th emiddle of May isn't a bad time to go. it's in between spring break and the summer crunch. are you driving down from IL or flying? ie are you going to have access to your own transportation? my first piece of advice is check out the 4 or 5 oark Flexticket. once you activate it you have 14 days in US, IOA, SW, wet-n-wild, and BG if you get the 5 park ticket. it's the most affordable way to see all of the parks besides disney. as for disney, you have to decide if it's one park for the 1 day, or if you want to park hop, you have that option now. I can't give you any info on condos, but I'm sure someone will. beach-wise, the closest is cocoa, and it's not a bad beach. I prefer gulf coast beaches myself, but they're in my backyard. :D if you need specific park info or anything else, someone's always around here.
