Have not been to WDW in the summer months in a number of years. Will be there for 5 days. I am expecting it to be packed and thats okay. Just happy to be going. Question is this-should I book ADRs for everyday (meaning one dinner or lunch per day) due to the fact that it will be so crowded?
Thanks!

YES!! With the popularity of the Disney Dining Plan everything gets booked up early! I just called today & made a couple of ressies for our trip in mid-Aug. and was SHOCKED :scared1: at the availability (or lack of) for the 3 participating restaurants at MGM for the Fantasmic package! The LATEST times avail. at Mama Melrose's were all in the 3:00 hour! I was able to find 4:20 & 4:50 open at Hollywood & Vine and 5:10 at the Brown Derby - but these were all MUCH earlier than what we wanted - would really prefer closer to 6:30 or 7 but those times were obviously gone at 180 days out! I went ahead & reserved our character breakfast & reserved dinner at Boma & will CB to reserve a couple of others probably tomorrow once we decide for sure where & when. They can all be cancelled w/o penalty except for the Fantasmic ones which you must cancel at least 48 hours out! Do it now so that at least you HAVE them!

Definitely make the ADR. I found out first hand a while back that they are filling up fast. Plus it is so nice to get out of the heat and have a meal in some AC for a while, it really recharged us for our evening at DW.

My first wdw trip and I was very surprised to call with adrs and only get 3:00 to 3:40 or after 7:40 for my dinner adrs. I am going mid September!

Definitely! We are going the last week of July and I made ours a month or so back. I expect it to be busy.

I would say--Definitely book reservations. It's better to have a reservation & have to cancel while you are there then to not have a reservation & have a really hard time finding a place to sit down and eat lunch or dinner. :)

Even if you find the heat overwhelming, you'll need to eat something. The advantage of the ADR is you know you've got a seat, in air conditioning, and will be able to relax for at least an hour.

If you haven't been in the summer, I'd personally recommend doing late lunches when the temps are at their hottest. You'll need that break. The first summer we went I pretty much crawled from attraction to attraction and actually cried by the end of the week I was so hot and exhausted. The next summer I knew what to expect and did fine. This summer we'll be there for 3 weeks in June and August and I can't wait. Sitting down to a nice meal once a day helps make the temperatures bareable.

of course... in july you better have and cancel it later than not having a nice place to go...book it now!! so you don't have to worry and enjoy your days::yes::
