Going in January...Any discounts yet

My wife and I will be running in the Disney marathon in January and I wanted to know how far in advance Fl resident promotions are announced. We need to stay on property so that we can use Disney transportation to get to the starting line at 5am!
Does it make sense to book a room now and then if special rates show up cancel and rebook under the new discounted rates?

Yes - book now. The marathon is a busy time and rooms go quickly. You can apply a code once it comes out!

Okay so I played it safe and booked now for $99 a night at the All Star Movie Resort. When I asked to speak to someone from CRO the agent seemed somewhat ticked and then said he was with CRO. Now I'll just keep checking for specials to make sure I get the best rate.
