Going in AUG., Do I need to take...?

I believe the "CHI" she is speaking of, is a WONDERFUL flat iron for your hair, it really is great even in the humidity, I lived in NC til a few months ago and my CHI was my best friend! :hippie:

yeah casndan you probably hardly need it there in CO, hardly ever humid. We lived in Aurora for two years.

We went in August in 2001 and we didn't bring any jacket type items (we did bring jeans/pants but we tend not to wear shorts and we were living in Atlanta at the time so we were use to the humidity and weather), I ended up having to buy a sweatshirt because the AC is kept really cold at a bunch of the restaraunts (or at least it was back then). This time I'm not brining a jacket again because I like getting new sweatshirts and figure it is a good way to justify it :thumbsup2 .

Regardless of when we go, we always bring a pair of pants and a nice polo shirt for DH and DS for when we go to an upscale restaurant. It just seems like the right thing to do, although the restaurants don't have any dress codes (I don't think - maybe the ones like V&As do.) IMHO, shorts, t-shirts and hats (especially) are not what I want my DH and DS to wear in a restaurant like California Grill or Blue Zoo.

I always pack a sweatshirt for me and the kids. The A/C can be bone chilling in some places...

DH just asked me if we are going to take any sweatshirts, sweaters or light jackets for Aug.
DD had the perfect answer: she said we should look at our photo album from our last trip in Aug. 2004 to see what we wore most of the time.
(we wore mostly tank tops and shorts!) :sunny:

Thank you everyone I appreciate your help. I think I will not pack any sweatshirts, I can then buy for the whole family if we need them.....My DH will just love that.

I'd still recommend packing at least one sweatshirt or light jacket per person. As other posters have said, if it rains and you get wet, then have to go into air conditioning, you'll freeze! Sweatshirts can be expensive at DW, so it would be nice to know you have one on hand if you need it.
