Hi all,

I am trying to plan a trip in April for 3 of us with a budget...any suggestions on which hotel to stay in....CB, CSR, POFQ or POR...or any other hotels??

I have stayed in the POFQ when it was Dixie Landing 10 years ago....has it changed much?

Any help would be great!!

Thanks...this board is so helpful....::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

Hi! I personally loved staying at CSR. I stayed there back in 2000, and really enjoyed it. The pool was awesome! I don't know anything about the other moderates though. Whichever one you decide, I'm sure you will have fun!!

Go to the Mexican themed one - sorry the name escapes me - best food court!!!

Coronado Springs - good pool and playground.
Port Orleans French Quarter - intimate, great pool, and close to Downtown Disney.

Thanks for all the info...I looked at allearsnet.com and I think I like the CBR.....there were a lot of pools...

Can't wait to go....

I agree Perkins5..I will have a great time in any hotel in Disney...

I love it so much that I am actually looking to re-locate and possibly try and get a job there....

We just stayed at CSR for the first time and loved it. It is a beautiful resort

after staying at Carribean Beach 3 times, I am a fan. The main complaint is the size of the resort. I must admit, it did not bother us. WE loved it all three times.

Thanks for all the info...I still am not sure of which one yet...I found some great pics and they both look great!

Of the two....CBR and CSR....which has a better pool...this is the biggest thing for me because it is the only thing that I am really at the hotel for...except sleeping....:hyper:

Another question...I am thinking of getting an annual pass...do you get discounts on hotel rooms? I thought that I read that somewhere?? Any info??

Much appreciation!!

Without a doubt, CSR has the better pool of the two. We use to always stay at CSR, but have switched to PORS. The reason we had chosen CSR (we've stayed there 5 times,) was that it is a conference center resort. Most of the guests are in meetings during the day, so the pool and transportation are yours. The drawbacks of CSR are that at night, you can forget about going to DTD...the buses are packed with conference people going to PI. Also, CSR is huge, need a stroller is traveling with little ones. Lots of walking, or you can take a bus. The language at the pools can get a little rough when the conference people are swimming. CSR has the largest variety of food at the food court. The only problem is that the seating area in the food court is not large enough to handle the large crowds when the conference people eat. We found that we had to eat lunch around 11 and dinner either at 5pm or 8pm, to find a seat in busy time. The last few stays, we stayed at PORS. My ds10 loved all the pools there better. There is much more shade at PORS than CSR.

Thanks for that info....that makes a big difference....

Still having a hard time making a decision....I heard now that teachers can get a discount at the Swan and Dolphin....

AHHHHHH.....now I don't know what to do!!

Yes the Swan and the Dolphin give teachers a discount. Call them to see if your dates are available. Depending upon the budget, the All Star hotels are really a good deal. The rooms are slightly smaller than the moderates but significantly cheaper. Their food court is also larger and has more selections. If you have not seen the All Star resorts check them out; you will save enough on the room to go out to a very nice restaurant. Since you are not in the rooms that much anyway, the All Stars is an option worth looking at.

Just got back from 7 days at POFQ. We loved it. Everything is close and it is really relaxing. Stayed at CBR 2 yrs ago and it was just to spread out for my tastes.
