Going in April 2011

We are going on our very first family vacation to WDW! This will also be mine, hubbys, and the kids first time there! we are so excited! we will be there from 4/2-4/11. just wondering what the weather is like then. i need to know if i should buy stroller fans for the kids.

We are planning a family trip (my family, my brother's family and my parents) to celebrate our parent's 50th anniversay for April 2011. I've been in contact with the travel agent and just have to wait for Disney to allow bookings. I can't help you with your questions as we've only been there once before and it was in January.

Having been in April for the past two years, ( 4/9-4/18/09 & 4/14-4/24/10) the weather most likely will be warm but not super hot like in the summer. We wear shorts and tshirts, go swimming in the pool during the day, but at night it can get a little cool and I always pack a long sleeve shirt and jeans for everyone just in case.

I find April weather to be just perfect. Sadly we won't be going this April due to DH's work schedule.

I'm new to the board but am going April 2-7 this year so we'll be there the same time I can't wait to book it! We've been before and I have to agree that April weather is perfect!

We're April goers as well and it's really a great time to go. I agree with Miprender (hi there fellow NE'er. It's been a long time!) It can be really great weather. We were there last April and the weather was gorgeous! 80's everyday and it rained for a total of 30 mins our whole trip!

We're going next April as well for my sister's Disney Wedding. Unfortunately, We have to travel during Easter week which is not only busy, but expensive. But, it's the only time I get off from work being a teacher, so we'll make due!

Hello MichaelsMom ... haven't heard from you in a long time. So you are going back in April. Our school vacation falls then too but we won't be able to make it this time.

Yeah, I've been seriously MIA. I try to not think Disney too much when I know it's a long way away before we go so I don't get too depressed! We haven't been back since our April '09 trip. We're not too thrilled that we have to go down at Easter. But, my sister is getting married and decided to have a Disney Wedding because her fiance doesn't have a lot of family so rather than a lopsided traditional wedding she figured she'd have a wedding in Disney and invite anyone who wants to join to come on down. So as of right now, she's planning it for our vacation so I can go. But, she may change her mind, have it in May, and then we'll fly down for the wedding but DH and I will do a trip with DS when school is out.

Will you be taking a trip in '11? When does DH get out of school in June?

DH gets out towards the end of June and we are going to spend 2 weeks in July/Aug. We just bought into DVC so we will be using those points.
Plus we are going down in December for a few days to see the Christmas lights.

But this will be the first time in two years we don't go in April. I will be jelous of all you April travellers come next spring.
