Going home in 28 days!!!!! Need suggestions...

Hi!!!

We will be "going home" for our first long vacation to HH in mid June. We stopped at HH for a night on the way back from WDW this past March and we can't wait for our 6 day stay in a one-bedroom. (DH, boys 11 and 12, and myself)

I need some suggestions for those "must pack" things for our trip! We are not golfers, but will spend as much time in or near the water that we can.

Also, should we sign up for kayaking or the dolphin cruise from home or do we do it from there??

Karen, I'm sorry I have never been to HH before, and being from NJ you would think I would have at least once. Anyway, try doing a thread search for HH, I'm sure you will get a lot of hits. Also please post a trip report, I would love to hear how you trip was.

You should be able to sign up when you get there. We called ahead and had them mail a newsletter so we knew what kind of activities to expect. Of course, take sunscreen, hats, sandals, etc. I would suggest a flashlight or two for walking around at night - can be fun. Also, take Skin-so-Soft and/or Off.
We enjoyed the horseback riding they offer - you take a van to a place about 10 minutes away and then ride through the woods and out on the beach and back - fun and easy to do. Maybe pack some aloe lotion for after-sun treatment! have fun!!!!

We just returned from a 6 day stay at HH this Saturday. We did not do the dolphin cruise, but you were able to sign on at HH. You could make arrangments for almost anything you wish to do. The resort was great and we got several "welcome homes". It is very light on the Disney theme. Sunscreen,bug repellant, and a nightlight for the bathroom are the major things to bring. Anything you forget can be bought close by. The crowds were also quite light. Jerry.
