We are taking DD , also 7 for her first trip to WDW in two weeks

I've bought some Princess dresses too for to deliver

Does your DD have any recommendations of must do's on a first trip for our DD ?

I think we may may well borrow her character list

She says - - looking at animals at AK, character meets at epcot, Splash mountain, The little mermaid show, the boat to MK and Beaches and creams ice cream palour, and the world of disney.

She also has a list of hates- so thought I would add them too.
POTC (She loves the paris version however is scared of Davy Jones on WDW one). I get her to ride it by her closing her eyes untill we get to the bit that is like the paris ride)
Great Movie ride - she thought the alien scene was real and she thought we were being robbed by a gangster, got her to ride it again however she still hated it.
ToT - scared of the themeing, she does like the ride going up & down so I can usually get her to go on once however that is her limited..
Fantasmic - also scared her as she was scared of the "baddies" Can't get her to watch it again which is a shame.

Ice -cream - A girl after my own heart . I would love to try the kitchen sink (between the three of us ).

Our DD sounds like she's not quite as brave as yours

I can't see me getting her on ToT at all.

She is quite an animal lover too so I think will really like Animal Kingdom(and Seaworld) and I can see her loving the little mermaid too .

I had thought they would love Fantasmic at their age . I hope our DD is not too scared .

My DD gets scared very easily at some things, some U rated films scare her. I think most children do love it. I haven't heard of many children being scared of it.

Thanks, I think we will have a fab time, I have been so busy with studying and working it will be nice to have some fun time with my DD.

Boring stuff to get out the way now. Updated ESTA and adding API. Need to find my flying club number to add that for air miles too.

should really check closures earlier. Test Track - Closed for Refurbishment [ Monday, January 11 - Sunday, January 17 ] oh well, will be doing test track later in trip, at least will still get to go on it.:rotfl:

I am very excited today, only 17 days to go.

12 Days to go...

I have just brought 8 day park hoppers through Disney.com. I wasn't going to get the hopper option however DD reminded me how much we liked going to Epcot in the evening after spending the day in another park.

I have also got DD a gift basket ordered for a birthday surprise for when we check in at AKV, only a autograph book, pen & pin however she will love getting a surprise.

I haven't started packing yet however been thinking about it, I am going to take 1 pair of jeans each, trainers, 2 hoodies each(one will be worn on travel day), 2 pairs of shorts each, 5 t shirts each and a few skirts and leggings as well as DD costumes. I am not taking loads as I am trying to just take one holdhall bag that is easy to carry.

DD main concern at the moment is making sure her DS is charged up ready for the flight and choosing which teddy to take

Only 4 days to go now

Here is the a picture of the gift basket I have ordered for DD.

It is actually my birthday while we are there and all the treats are mostly for her birthday which is which is 2 days after we get back.

Feeling a little nervous about having to navigate myself around the airport alone, hope I can find my way out of MCO okay and find DME.

I am now all packed, I have packed a mixture of winter clothes and summer clothes after looking at the weather, with layers for DD. As well as checking the weather for Orlando.

I have also been checking the weather for here in Manchester, the roads are clear now

Wishing you a fantastic holiday whilst I remember. I hope the flights are running okay when you go. Its sensible packing some warmer clothing as it is a bit chilly there at the moment but no doubt it will warm up.

Thanks everyone.

2 days now. I have just redone my packing as I was worried about not having enough warm stuf. took out shorts, t.shirts for DD and swapped them with dresses as we can layer or down easier according to the weather. I have packed leggings, tights and tops which she can underneath the dresses if it is cold.
