Going from MGM to Epcot... easiest way

We rode the boat and were sorry we didn't do the bus. The ride seemed to take FOREVER! Seemed like at least 30 minutes. It was during the food and wine festival so, it was very crowded. The boat ride was nice to check out the resorts along the way.

IF you do decide to walk, take the shortcut through the Boardwalk Villas instead of walking all the way around. It will save you 3-4 minutes. When you get to the themed pool (with the scary clown rollercoaster waterslide), make a right and go past the outdoor bar area (leaping libations). You will see a walkway with bathrooms to the left and a small arcade to the right;go until you see a large lawn area. Pass Flying Fish, ESPN Club and you will head directly to Epcot's back entrance--the International Gateway. As I remember, there is a stroller rental there. The walk takes you about the same as taking the boat.

I vote walk if the weather is nice.

I vote for the walk. First you have to wait for the boat to get there. For us the boat was slow, wet and very crowded. I say either the bus or walk.

just being there, I vote boat. You will be doing enough walking and why wear yourself out mid-day. It is hard carrying a 2 yr old and all their stuff from park to park. You won't have a stroller so think about it.

We did the boat from Epcot to MGM last week. We waited 20 min for a boat then it took 25 min to get there. The bus would definately be quicker. The plus side was that we didn't have to fold the stroller.

It kind of depends on where you're going in Epcot, doesn't it? I love walking, but people who don't should know it's well over a mile from MGM gate to International Gate, and nearly 2 miles from MGM gate to Spaceship Earth.
The boat will get you to International Gate, probably the same day. But if you're going to Future World and don't care to walk 2 miles, the bus is by far the best option.

My DH and I really enjoy the walk. It is pleasant, not crowded at all, and faster than the boat. If I was traveling with kids I would take the boat or bus though. There is so much walking in Epcot anyway, I would not want to push them on the walk between parks. It is about a mile I think.
