My brother and his fiance are thinking of going with us to Disney in the Fall. That would put our party of 6 to 8. I need to get making my reservations before everything is gone. If I made the reservations for 8 how hard is it to adjust them to 6 without losing the time if they decide to not to go

TIA

It's easy to adjust down. Actually, you don't need to adjust down if there isn't availability. So, book for 8 and call to drop the extra if they can't make the trip. If, for whatever reason, they can't drop the two, don't worry about it.

Agree with super snoop - it's a courtesy if you can drop the extra 2 people, but if you somehow have trouble doing it, don't lose your reservation. Just keep it for 8 and you are not charged any no-show penalty as long as at least part of your party shows up.

We're in a similar situation--I have an adult son who would like to go with us, but he may be unable to leave work--who knows what he'll be up to in 6 months? He's 24 and has his own life. I asked the CM who booked our dining, and she recommended booking for 4. If I have to call and make it 3, that's much easier than booking 3 and trying to add him later.
