My DH and I have the following plan for one day during our trip in September...

Go to Epcot at 8am for early morning hours. I really want to eat at Ohana's for breakfast and this was the best plan I could come up with (we are eating breakfast at Crystal Palace on MK day)...

Our breakfast is scheduled for 10:10am. I am thinking we can take the monorail to TTA and ... can we walk from there to Poly? Or would we have to take the monorail to MK and get on the resort Monorail? How much time would you allow? Any other transportation options (Disney transportation).

After breakfast we would return to Epcot.

Yes, you can walk from TTA to the Poly. While it only about a 2 minute walk from TTC until you'll be at the Poly - by the Tahiti longhouse, you'll need another 5-10 minutes to walk up to the front of the resort where O'hanas is, so allow for a 10+ minute walk from TTC to O'hana's. As for the monorail, I never remember if it's 15-20 minutes to allow, but either way you're talking about getting on a 9:30am monorail from Epcot in order to make your 10:10 ressie at the latest, so you'd only have the first 1:30 at Epcot....

As an aside, you could actually switch monorails at the TTC from the Epcot monorail to the MK Resort monorail, and it will actually take you slightly less time than getting off @ TTC and walking (I have stayed in the Tahiti longhouse & it seemed faster sometimes to walk to TTC & take the monorail back up to the front of the resort, than to walk up there from our room :lmao: )

yes you sure can walk, it's not a super long walk, but it's not a short walk either. We always walk from the TTC to the Pply, When we stay there we usually stay to the buildings closest to the TTC so we would walk there every day to catch either the buses or the monorails. It was closer than walking to the main building.

We always walk from the TTC to the Poly. It's a nice walk. My one concern is that if you're unfamiliar with the area, you might get a bit confused. Out of the TTC, you need to go to the right, look for the signs, and then you wind through the resort. Once you're on the resort grounds, the GCH where 'Ohana is not righ there. You'll need to keep an eye on the signs pointing you there. And then 'Ohana is upstairs in that building.

If you're unfamiliar with where you're going, you could also transfer Monorail lines at the TTC, and then you'll end up catching the resort monorail to Poly. It's the first stop after the TTC, and you'll be upstairs already when you exit the Resort monorail.

Either way, it's probably about 20-30 minutes.

Another thing to consider is that an hour and a half at Epcot will FLY by. If you get there at rope drop you could probably do Soarin and Test Track but you would have to book it. The trip back to Poly would take 20-30min tops.

I think its do-able. Give it a try!! Have some tonga toast for me.

Thanks for your replies! I think we will just switch Monorail lines at the TTC and get off at the Poly. Maybe if we are adventerous, we'll try walking back to the TTC to get back to Epcot. Work off some of that yummy food I am anticipating. We are not familiar with Poly grounds at all and I don't want to spend precious park time getting lost :)

I'm kind of also hoping this might be a good hour to ask if we can sit in the front of the Monorail. I would never want to keep a child from getting to do this, but we've never done it and I would like to give it a try...

I hate to give up the "cool" morning hours at the parks, but I really wanted to do two breakfasts on the trip. Epcot kind of got neglected on our last trip and I was hoping not to do the same on this trip, so we'll see. Guess I'll start looking at my agenda to see if I can work another afternoon in there somewhere!

Thanks again!
