Going from All Star Music to Old Key West

I have a question about transferring from one resort to another. We are staying the 1st night at the All star music resort and need to transfer and check in to Old Key West the next morning. We do not have a rental car. How do we do this? Do we take a shuttle bus to OKW and take suitcases with us or does Disney transfer luggage for you? We would like to go to the parks that morning so would you leave the luggage at OKW till the room is available?

Disney will transfer the luggage for you. I think at All Stars you have to bring the luggage up to the front Bell services, but ask at your check in for sure, and go to the park as you plan. Take the bus from the park to OKW, check in, and your bags will be brought to your room after a call from you.

Disney will transfer luggage for you. Just contact bell services, and they will tag it with your new resort and have it moved. After dropping your luggage off at ASMu, you can just head to the parks. Your luggage will be there close to check in time, and you can have the bellstaff at OKW move it to your room.

Just tip the bell services at both resorts. I've had Disney move luggage for me many times without any issues. They've even moved it to the Swan/Dolphin for me.

i would advice going to OKW in the morning and checking in. if the room they have assigned to you isn't ready you can ask them for a room that is. then when you come back from the parks you have a room already to go to. even if a room isn't ready, you can check in and get your key so you don't have to deal with check in later when you are hot and tired.

I also agree with checking in early in the day, meeting the rest of your party in the parks, then returning. That way you beat the crowds at check in, they give you a phone number to call to check if your room is ready, etc.
