going for "test run" today

the temp is supposed to get to 97 degrees with "oppressive humidity" and we're going to the zoo today . I've got my new Teva's on, my new messenger bag with the essentials and my Brita water bottle....I'm all set to test these things out (and test out walking around all day in yucky humidity) before going to WDW in a few weeks. Wish me luck!!

That's why I'm loving the hot summer we're having. Perfect Preperation for an Aug Disney Trip! Last time we went in Aug, it had been hotter here in NY than it was in Orlando. Made touring a breeze. I say the more heat the better!

It's going to be 101 in Greensboro, NC today! Orlando in Aug. cannot be any worse! I agree, it's great pratice. At least in WDW I will not be wearing a dress and heels!

I looked at the temps down in Orlando and they were the same as were are now. Was in Florida two weeks ago, and the heat didn't bother me. Will be going back in Sept., it will feel cool then. Have fun today, I will be hanging out in the a/c today.

Ontario here. It is to up to about 97 with the humidex about 105. Tomorrow they say 75. Thursday back up to 90. We have our own roller coaster here.

checkin in from IL here, yesterday it was 106, today only 98 my dad lives in Clermont, FL and said it was cooler down there!!! have fun at the zoo!!

As I was driving to work this morning I was thinking hey it's just as hot and humid here on Long Island as it is in Orlando. We are going in one month and I was fretting about the heat. No big deal now!!!

Just got back from the zoo....the weather wasn't as hot as predicted. "Only" about 92 and 31% humidty. It was really nice and not too hot since the zoo had lots of shady areas, but I was kind of hoping for the worst so I can get in "shape" for Disney!!

Tevas worked great ~ still comfy after wearing them all day and the messenger bag worked out too (instead of the dreaded fanny pack )

Here's hoping for more heat and humidity!!

Your getting your wish, it's 78 and humid already, I just looked at the weather for Orlando and they are 76 and humid. Stay cool today, glad the tevas worked out for you.

I'm in Central Florida and looks like it's hotter in MA than here. We just got back from a trip to Ohio and Pa and I minded the heat more there than here.

I've been walking these past few days, in my Tevas, prepping for our August trip, too! LOL! We went last year in Sept. right between hurricanes. It was hot and humid, but truth be told, I adjusted in about a day.

You'll do fine, but drinking water constantly is a must. Have fun, and see you there!
