Going for One day...one park or two?

I am going to Disneyland just one day at the end of January, a Saturday. I am clueless to anything Disneyland and don't know if I should be doing one park or two?

I suppose it depends on who all will be with you.
And is also depends on what kind of experience you're looking for.

If you're looking for the TRUE disney experience, I would definitely recommend spending all day at Disneyland.

There is attractions, parades and shows to keep you occupied throughout your day, and you will probably need the whole day to experience everything, especially on a saturday when it will probably be busy!

I would recommmend doing both parks. My friend just did both parks in one day back in July, in the peak of summer, and it is very possible. Of course, you will miss some things, you won't see every single thing in either park, but if you plan wisely, you can squeeze a lot in at both parks. I think you should see California Adventure while it is still in its sort of current 'format.' It is going to dramatically change in the next few years. Make lists, have a good plan of action of exactly what you really want to do, and it is very manageable!

So far going Solo. It's at the end of a work trip and I don't know when/if I will ever get out there again.

I think both parks are doable in one day...especially solo. You obviously can't see everything but you could get a lot in.

If you like rollercoasters, California Screamin' is a must!

January tends to be somewhat less crowded. Unless it's MLK weekend. That might be more crowded.

You can both in 1 day...especially by yourself!!!! You said the end of Jan but on a Saturday? It will be busy but not as busy, especially if it's raining (which it did on both of my Jan. trips this year). Make sure you utilize the single rider lines and FP whenever possible and you'll be able to get a lot done!! Especially if you're a person on the go with a plan!

I agree with what LucyDingo and Pixiewings71 said - they are absolutely correct in that ESPECIALLY if you are by yourself, you can do both parks and get a LOT done in one day. Not that it isn't fun to go to DLR with other people, but other people can slow you down!

On our first two trips, they were one-day'ers and we only went to Disneyland.

First, we thought it was ridiculous to have a theme park about CA in CA.
Second, the first time we had a 1.5 year old and the second time he was 2.5, which slowed us down.
Third, we were with my brother and SIL who absolutely REFUSE to do fastpass or follow a plan and they are fine with standing in lines, and that slowed us down.


On our big trip last year in September, we finally entered DCA and it is absolutely our favorite. With Screamin' and Grizzly (DS's new fave ride...we did it 10 times in 2 days!) and TOT and Monsters and omg Toy Story Midway Mania (all of our new fave ride!), we LOVE the park! We can't even remember why we thought the CA park in CA was so weird! Where should it be, in Nebraska???


So especially being solo, I would recommend both parks.
