Advice please.

We are booked June 12-20 & 22 in a st.st. @ BWV. We are waitlisted for the 21.

I have started calling MS every day now looking for a cash room.

This was supposed to be our first long trip and our first non split stay trip. We usually go either during school so we have to cut it short. Or we don't have enough home points to book the whole stay at one resort. Re-packing really throws cold water on a vacation.

Should I:
1) keep wishing & praying
2) end the agony and try to book 2 nights elsewhere
3) just cut the trip short
4) sleep in the car

You won't be able to book a BWV standard view with cash. They only go with points. So if you did get a cash room, you'd still have to move.

If there are other resorts that you want to experience, I would suggest switching for the last 2 or 3 days. Unfortunately, at this late date, it may be hard to find a standard studio at other resorts; but it may be worth checking to end your agony. I don't think I could ever compromise by shortening my vacation, but we have to fly, so we don't have that choice anyway.

Have a great trip!! :thumbsup2

I agree with the pp, look for another room elsewhere for the last 2-3 days and then re-waitlist (is there such a term?) back at BWV for those same nights. Also, I took the courtesy of adding an option to your list:

1) keep wishing & praying
2) end the agony and try to book 2 nights elsewhere
3) just cut the trip short
4) sleep in the car
5) refuse to leave, barricade the door

Um, we did. We had a 9 night stay in a standard view 1 BR at BWV on points, checking out last December 27th. Thanks to a snow storm at home, we had to extend our stay by 1 night. MS had nothing available, so I booked the same category on cash through CRO. We were able to stay in our same villa. You don't want to know what the rack rate was.... :scared1:

I don't understand why MS wouldn't have mentioned that. When I call they always pull up my existing ressie.

I keep calling because when I ask if the cash rooms for DVC members were seperate from waitlist rooms and CRO rooms they said yes.

I've been checking online. Calling takes so long. But no luck so far.

The thought has crossed my mine.

Whoops. You mean cash from MS and not through CRO. My bad.

I think that I would personally, try and book the 2 nights together somewhere. At least then, you are only moving once and not twice.

Good luck!!1

:thumbsup2 End your agony!

I would also go this route and book 2 or even 3 nights elsewhere and then you could waitlist back for the BWV Standard. You might still luck out and get the whole stay there otherwise at least you know you won't have to move more than one time.

I haven't had success with waitlists at this late date. There is still hope though around the 30 day mark when people might be canceling.
I agree with others and would try to book those last few nights together somewhere else.
