I'm with you...we're surprising our kids. They know we are taking a trip to Florida and keep asking if we can PLEASE go to Disney...we keep telling them that we just can't afford it.

I need to try not to mention anything about the trip for awhile. I think it would be fun to just take them out of school the day we leave and hit the road

We haven't told them anything yet. They know about next year's trip so that's how I am getting around it.
There is lots of "SO when we go to Disney, next summer, what do you want to do?"

They are going to flip when they find out!!

I now just need to make up my mind how we are going to tell them...

But I get to on Sunday!!! My boys are totally bummed that we aren't going next week when school is out-we have gone the last 3 years for this same break-little do they know we are going afterall-I can not wait!!

I am going to break- I can feel it. I think I am going to tell them tonight. I want them to be excited with me and help plan! DH wants to, but he also wants to wait until Halloween is atleast over. I know that makes sense but it is killing ME!!

I had to post here because I'm going craaaazy! We are leaving this Tuesday and my two kids have no idea!! I have kept this a secret for a month and a half and its killing me. I can't put up a ticker or post on the main boards because both my girls love Disney so much that they read and post on these boards. But I doubt they would visit the happy dance boards.

However, My oldest 16 yr old knows and she is helping me keep the secret with my other two. We told them we are taking them out of school to spend the week with their grandmother. It's so difficult not telling them. I haven't even decided how to tell them yet! So I'll do my happy dance here, if it's okay with you guys!

momimouse27, I am REALLY in awe of you. Our last trip (July) was "secret" from our kids. I finally had to tell them 6 days before we left--because I knew I couldn't pack without them knowing something was up. At least yours know you are going "somewhere". Now I have a NEW secret. We're going on a Disney Cruise in April--and it's a secret! Thankfully, like you, the kids know we're going to somewhere for Spring Break--but they think we're just going to WDW, nothing about the cruise. Can't wait to hear how you tell yours---I have dreams of not telling mine a thing until the morning we leave WDW and head to the port. Hope you can keep your secret until they day you arrive--be sure to run the video camera!

Whamma, we are leaving tommorrow and I cant believe I've held it in this long! Its definitely difficult because there's been so many times my daughter has complained about not wanting to be away from her BFF and I just wanted to tell her She has been compaining for quite some time about not getting a Disney trip this year...that makes me even more excited for when she finds out!

I knew if we didn't make up a fake location, there was no way we could explain leaving and packing, plus my dd would have planned Trick or Treat with her girlfriend.

A quick cute thing...when my little boy was lying in bed going to sleep last night I told him we were missing school the rest of the week to go to his grandmothers and then I asked him if he could be anywhere in the world, where would he go? Of course, he said Disney World and I almost started crying!

Aww- I know know it is hard. I asked my girls if they could have anything for Christmas and one of my 7 year olds said to see Mickey Mouse again. I can't wait...
