Well the good news is we leave Friday at 6PM. We are amped up:banana:

Pulling out the RV has been fun too. First I had to snowplow the yard due to the snow we have. People driving by thought I was nuts. After that I cleaned it up and filled the propane tanks.....boy the price of propane has climbed. Filled up the truck (75 gallons at $3.44 a gallon):scared1: Washed up the truck and we are almost ready. Should be around $500.00 before we hit the road. Lucky for me we only have to fill up 5 or 6 times roundtrip:scared1: :scared1:

But its all worth it when we pull into the fort and get setup for a couple weeks of fun. Just hope I dont have to snowplow my yard to park the RV when we get home.:rotfl2:

Merry Christmas to all and have safe travels over the holidays. If your at the fort we should be in the 100 loop with 3 inflatable figures at our site. Feel free to stop and say hello.

I did a humanitarian mission to a Minnesota Indian reservation a few years ago. It was July and it was still cold. I gotta admire the stamina of people who choose to live in this area, especially when I heard about the winters there. Good luck and here's hoping the snow holds off while you're gone so you don't have to plow right away when you get back.

Hi Mark!

We'll be there next week! Probably 1500 loop. I'll have my custom alien green Mickey sign, thanks to BigDaddyRog. We'll be the site with 3 angelic daughters  !

You ARE a good guy, aren't you? Really, though, was this through church or something else? Always looking for ways to give back. Plus this hits a personal chord.

Especially Sgt. Ogden....she's a tough old biddy.

Have a great time and a safe drive. If it's been snowing in Minnesota like it has here in Wisconsin, I'm sorry to say you are probably going to have to plow before you can park that camper. Enjoy the warm weather while you can.

It was a medical mission through the Army at Red Lake, Minnesota. I have done a number of these in the US and Central America. Don't tell anybody I'm a nice guy. It would ruin my image.

Don't worry about that! How come you got all the good missions? Mine always required weapons......

I was in Nicaraugua when the Russians were still the enemy and still occupied the country. I was not allowed to carry any weapon on that mission. I was supposedly under the protection of the Nicarauguan army. I would have given my left *** for even a 9 mm.

I bet that gave you a warm and fuzzy! We had weapons but usually no ammunition. That was really effective! Thank goodness a lot of good NCOs made sure there was a contingency supply.

It was cool seeing Russian soldiers up close - they look just like us, but with worse teeth.

We will be there Dec. 22-Jan. 3! :cool1: Getting psyched and freaking out at the same time! :woohoo: It's our first trip towing our camper to Disney...from NY! :scared1: We have about 6 inches of snow now...had 18 last week, and expecting a blizzard (up to 2 feet) starting Sunday! YIKES!!! Hopefully it will be gone by next Thursday!!!:scared:
We will be in loop 300 (hopefully)....Dark gray (almost black) 4 door Chevy Silverado pulling Mountaineer Fifth Wheel (NY plates)...stop in if you find us!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS ALL!

Wendy, It's our first trip pulling our pop-up from NY to the Fort too. :cool1:
We're not as far north as you are - we're in orange county - but also got about 7" yesterday, and I'm not thinking about Sunday yet :scared1:

Ami - we're hoping to be in 1500 too! Hopefully we'll see you there - DD (6) I'm sure would love to play with your angels!

All this winter weather is getting in our way of preparing for the trip next Friday - and I'm starting to slowly panic.... BUT, like Mark said - it'll all be worth it once we're pulling into the Fort!

Can't wait to see everyone there!
:santa:
