Going bagless?

I always take a camera, even just a point and shoot. I have my phone, required medication, money, giftcards, etc. I am female, so no cargo pants or anything with a lot of pockets.
I am just not sure I can carry all of that on my body and not lose something. :)

I understand when there are certain things people *have* to take to the park that it makes going bagless a little more challenging. And I don't like putting anything other than a rain poncho or tissues (something that wouldn't matter if they fell out at some point) in my pockets. Even when I put my tiny bag/wallet in my pocket, I usually loop the strap through a belt loop so that even if it falls out of my pocket, I won't loose it. A camera does add another issue -- though there are point-and-shoot camera cases that you can get that fit on a belt -- I'm not sure if they would make you go through the bag check for that or not. We used one of those for years -- but that was before bag checks. We stopped carrying a camera a few years ago as the quality of our phone cameras are equal to or better than our point-and-shoot cameras. And the bonus is, the photos we take with our phones are automatically backed up so we don't have to worry about loosing them. We don't need to take any ongoing medication in the parks -- everything is either taken in the morning or at night before bed. If I know someone is going to need something during the day, I just put it in a small ziploc bag or pill holder and stick it in my bag. I don't carry any "just in case" over-the-counter meds -- we'll just stop and buy them if we need them. There are cargo shorts for women. I have several pair -- Eddie Bauer, LL Bean, Lee, along with other manufacturers do make them. I don't wear them every day at Disney, but I do like wearing them on days that there is rain in the forecast as I can stick a cheap rain poncho in one of the cargo pockets. My DIL usually wears sun dresses to the park so she has the issue of not really having any pockets and that's why she went to the phone case lanyard to carry her phone, ID, credit card, and cash.

I wear sundresses half the time, thus the runners belt. I just carry my phone in my hand through security and have the belt under my dress. Once I'm through security, I go to the restroom and move the belt on top of my dress (no one wants to pull their dress up when they need to spend money or change a FP). Since it looks so much like just a wide belt it works great, it's made of a spandex something mix and nice and wide so everything I need fits in it. Even a small point and shoot would if I wanted to carry one, which I don't. I don't mind going through the metal detectors and I don't go bagless to skip the bag line, I just don't like carrying around a bag.

I have the otter box - commuter series wallet which holds cash and credit cards.

I'm a big fan of the "Grab-It Pack," which is a pack that straps onto the side of your leg with waist and thigh belts (I bought the "ultra," which is a little bigger and has more secure pockets). It took a little adjusting to get it comfortable when I first bought it, but once I got it where I liked it I found it very comfortable, and I really like the ability to go hands-free but still have space for phone, bandaids, wallet, poncho, etc. I even stuck smaller souvenirs in it as we went (mostly pins). You do still have to take it off and submit it for inspection at bag check, and I found that in order to sit comfortably on rides with narrower seats I had to unclip the thigh strap and slide the pack around to sit on top of my lap, but for me it generally achieved my desire to not have to actively keep track of my bag. The one word of warning I'd give to anyone who wants to use one is that while it's water resistant, it is absolutely not water proof. I had to leave it at the hotel for a day because I forgot to take it off on a wet ride and it got soaked through. In future, I'd probably jam either a grocery bag or a large ziplock in one of the pockets so I can take the pack off and wrap it up for Splash Mountain, etc.

Try this, bring a bag but put it in a locker when you first get there. If you never return for it, then you didn't need those things and leave it behind next time

What a good idea! I have always been a "I'd rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it" type of person, so trying to go bagless makes me very nervous. But this is a great way of trying it and seeing if we can do it while having our back up close by. :)

TBH I'm still a big fan of fanny packs... so much smaller than an actual bag but more convenient than stuffing things in pockets! I've always been bugged by things in my pockets though, its probably just me!

I use a flip belt for my phone since the one I have is generally too big for my pocket (iPhone 7 Plus). I also stash my sunglasses in it when were are riding rides. I usually just stick my ID in a pocket and off I go. My son has a flip belt, too, that he uses for stashing his phone on rides.

I started going bagless a few years ago. I have a small bag a little bigger than credit card size with a thin strap. I put my ID, small button bag sized zip baggie with the days pills, a few bandaids, my small sized reader glasses, and that is it!!! I put it under my shirt/blouse upon entering the park and just go through the bagless line, no problems. My husband carries his wallet with the money in his pants pocket. This works out great for me, as I don't carry a phone into the parks - don't want to be bothered with it.
