Using it the first time requires reading the instructions on screen, yes. Repeat visits to lockers should be second nature by then.

I valet park so no key. Just carry park ticket, license, and one or two credit cards. My husband brings his wallet but he always has cargo shorts with Velcro pockets. He won't ride RRR so that's not an issue. Remember the lockers near the rides are free unless you keep your stuff in there too long.

Someone said that all the lockers are free.. But in the Universal App it shows that the lockers at IOA near the water rides are not free. Is this correct??
