Going back to OKW!!

We have been DVC members for a long time (OKW owners) and last went in June 2014. The kids said they needed a break so I decided to not go to Disney this year. Fast forward months to February 2015. DD will be graduating high school in June and has decided that she wants to go to Disney and bring 2 friends with her that are also graduating. One has never been to Disney, the other has not been in 12 years. So DS 15, DD, her 2 friends and I will be making the road trip in June!

Went online last night to make dining reservations, and everything I wanted was available, even CRT!! Each girl has a favorite Princess, so I knew I had to book it. Also booked BOG, Chef Mickey's, Le Chef's de France, Raglan Road and Plaza Restaurant.

The "must buy" item on this trip? Graduation hats with mouse ears! Thankfully, we will be at MK on Saturday, so the girls can get their hats on the first day of the trip. Why I planned MK on a Saturday I have no idea, but we will just deal with it.

So if you are at OKW at the end of June, and see 3 girls wearing their graduation hats, it's us!!
Am I crazy? Yes, I am but I think this might be the best trip yet!!

When my son graduated from HS, we brought eight of his friends and we stayed in an OKW GV. And I bought them all graduation ears that they wore to Chef Mickey's for breakfast one morning for our picture there. If you want to get the graduation ears, contact World of Disney and ask them to mail them to you.

I can order the graduation ears before going?? The girls would flip if I gave them the hats before our trip. I was already thinking about making the girls bags, with things centered around their favorite Princess. Little things, that they could use on the trip. The hats would just be icing on the cake!! Do you know if I can have their names embroidered when I order them?

I bought my ears (the nine sets) at WoD in early March for 2011 and they mailed them to me since I was flying and didn't have room in my suitcase for them. I bought a 2014 last May when my son thought he might graduate in Dec 2014 (but he didn't - decided to take advantage of his scholarship and take his last six hours instead of taking 22 last fall). So I've ordered him a new pair from the Disney Florist to be delivered to our room in a basket (with assorted stuff) when we arrive later on this Spring. You could probably either call WoD and order some or order a gift basket from Disney Florist and include three sets (and I know those can be personalized) of grad ears to be either delivered to your room at OKW or to your ho1me. We bought the tote bag to put the ears and a few other things in. You could get a DVC yellow backpack or even a drawstring bag for your container. But they have to be in a container of some sort if you order from Disney Florist.

When my younger daughter was graduating we did not do WDW that year because she went to Spain with school and her older sister got married the same month she graduated. I found some 2013 mouse ears online and even got her name put on them. I didn't think it was a big deal but when she opened that box she was ecstatic. Now next year we are cruising for DS's graduation year and I'll have to get another set!

When our DDs graduated high school (different years) we let them take 1 or 2 friends & gave them a week at OKW. Believe they went at the end of May, probably some spill over into June. They both had great vists.
We gave all of the girls $50 Disney gift cards, but the friends had to pay their own air fare.
