Hi Everybody
I'm going 11/4 - 11/11 to Saratoga Springs, we've been members for 4 yrs.
How is Saratoga Springs? Any must see or must dos?
I remember learning from this web site about the flag family at Wilderness, which was great! My family was so impressed.
Anything real great for the kids to see (ages 6; 5 and 3) or do. Of course we'll be going to MK and I just read about The Seas with Nemo that sounds like a must for the kids.
But I think this year we aren't planning on seeing everything we'll take it alittle slower but I wanted any advice from the regulars here of things that can't be missed.
I also read about Playhouse Disney Play n Dine at Hollywood and Vine. Is that any good? Also is Hoop De Doo not to be missed? Believe it or not we've never made it to that, I'm in a wheelchair would that be a problem for there?
Also how was spa at SSR my sister and I are thinking of having a day of relaxation.
Also is Fantasmic not playing that week? :
Thanks for any advice I can't wait to get there!!!! :woohoo:

Have a great trip to SSR!!

The Spa is very nice!! Matter of fact, I will be at WDW on Friday and Sat before the Member Cruise and I am going to have my pedicure done at SSR. I could do it now, but they are so great, I want to wait. I didnt like the cruise pedicure so that is why I am getting it before.

Love, Love, Love  THE SPA!!

The recreation staff at SSR is great. Be sure to visit Community Hall and get a schedule of activities for your week. We had great fun hanging around the resort and doing the activities. They also have poolside bingo (not sure about Nov. though) and pool games.

Other than that, there are DVD's at Artist Palette and DTD will be all decked out for the Holidays. If you have little girls in your party, the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique may be of interest. I love seeing all the little girls all sparkly with their sashes on :wizard: DTD normally has a schedule of activities also that take place at the Ampitheater. Some of those have been great and sometimes they have special fireworks to go with the event. Last month they had the U.S. Open Water Ski championship right on the lake at night. Always something going on at DTD.

We really enjoyed HDDR, and although more corny than corn flakes, we still laugh about it and the pictures we took are pretty funny too. Sometimes corny is GOOD!! We had a great time and the food was good. So find the corn in you and Go!! :rotfl: You should not have any issues as the Theater was Accessible and they have ground floor seating.

We are never bored, and we spend more time at the resort than not. We really enjoy it there and sometimes we will walk or boat over to OKW.

HDDR is a must! It is a lot of fun! My 3 kids couldn't contain themselves, they had WWWAAAYYY too much fun.

We did P&D @ H&V the end of August and we had a great time (I mean my DS4) There was a lot of character and CM interaction. We did b'fast and really enjoyed it. IMHO with the 3 kids that age it is a must do! :thumbsup2

Hi
Thanks for your reply. I think I'll definitely book HDDR. So what if its corny :-) Should be fun.
Thanks for the info about community hall, we did that last year at OKW. The kids played bingo and other games and had a great time. They won little prizes and it was fun and a day just spent by the pool.
How are the restaurants at SSR?
I was thinking of either going to California Grill for our first night and watching the fireworks from the deck there or just taking it easy the first night and eating at SSR .
California Grill sounds like a favorite from these boards how are the restaurants at SSR, any suggestions?
And definitelydoing the spa, maybe in the middle of the week, I'll probably be ready for alittle pampering :-)
I can'r wait to get there !

Thanks for answering about P&D @H&V. Definitely will do that, I like the character dining with the kids, they love Chef Mickey, but I'm always looking for ones they haven't been too. Maybe we'll do lunch for that @MGM and plan the day around that.
Have to see Bear in the Big Blue House :-)

They do have neat things at the Community hall. One was ceramics and another was make a Disney floral creation with a Disney florist.

Don't forget about the carriage ride around SSR.

We spent a week at SSR in March - and only went to the parks two days. The staff at the Community Hall got to know our family - LOL. DS feel in love with the FREE Sony Playstation - esp Star Wars Lego. We played table tennis - and they have a great pool table with sticks for little ones for FREE near the Turf Club. We played LOTS of pool. DS took the kids fishing trip one morning. Only 3 kids total went on the trip. DS had fun and we enjoyed the time alone. We also took a full "cruise" on the water shuttle from SSR, to DTD, back to SSR, to OKW, back to SSR, and then to DTD. We enjoyed the view.

At the resort, We also played shuffle board, and played a bit of basketball. Luckily, the weather was okay for the pool - albeit the water was cool when we were there. We had a great room with a view of a pond, and enjoyed watching the turtles, ducks, etc each morning. When we were there, they offered a carriage ride throughout the grounds.
