If someone needs 4 or more, let me know.

I'm not even making any gold stars because we will hopefully never need them.

Just beautiful and thoughtful. Thank you for doing this. Although I do not "have anyone" in the service of our country, I appreciate your providing this for those who do.

Sorry if this is stupid but what does this mean?

Sorry, they are called "Sons in Service" flags. During WWI and WWII if you had an immediate family member in the service, you hung one of these flags in your front window with the # of corresponding stars in the white field as the # of family members serving. If any of them passed in the line of duty, you would cover the top blue star with a gold one.

Thanks for the explanation..I was confused also..:)

I don't have anyone in the military, but want to say thank you for posting this for all our DIS families.

Thanks for the clipart...:D

Thank you. I hope and pray that the need for gold never happens.:(

JC, you are the sweetest man. Thank you for doing these and explaining the meaning. I pray that no DISers will need a gold star.

:(
Could somebody tell me how to add a flag? I'd like one in honor of my Brother in the Air Force (not deployed yet, thank goodness!!)
Thanks

Please tell me how to add one to my signature for my brother, going on year 20 in the air force and currently in Germany.

I never knew about the stars. Kind of took my breath away to hear the meaning. I hope I never have to use one for either of my sons.

Mr. J. C--Clipart Genius, comapassionate american.

Very very nice Mr. J.C. thanks for doing these

Angie and phorsenuf, go to this link and it will help you post. Just use the flags as the clipart and then go to your signature area in your User CP (at top of page) and then to Edit Profile section. If you get stuck, go to the Tech Board and they will help you get it.
