Im glad it worked for you! I don't think I would have been able to have my family enjoy Disney the last couple years without it. It has been a lifesaver for my autistic DS(10). We still get one but don't have to use it as often. I hope your trip was magical!~
We save our old GACs to show the next time we arrive at WDW. It save a ton of time in the explanation and issuance (of course, I have that down to a routine as well).
The GAC is great and I have used it for my son... but I am sad to say that people abuse the GAC as well.
In fact, I have a family member who returned from Disney this week and actually used the GAC to go on Expedition Everest by himself without the child that the GAC was issued for. The CM at the EE line should never have let this happen. I told my family member that it was wrong to to do that but he shrugged it off and said that hey the worst that could happen is they could say no, you can't go no the ride without the child and then I wouldn't go on the ride. It really burns me that he would even attempt to go on the ride without the person who the GAC was issued for in the first place and then to have him rationalize why it was okay for him to do it makes it even worse in my mind.
Anyways, I hope that Disney can somehow tighten up the GAC system so that people are not able to abuse it the way my family member did.
